To set up a racing wheel on PS5, connect its pedals and power as the model’s manual specifies, select any required console or game mode, plug the wheel directly into the console’s USB port, and let it finish calibrating. Then press the wheel’s PS button and sign in if required. Check support for both your exact wheel version and the game: a console connection does not guarantee that every game or advanced feature will work.
Before connecting: check the wheel and game
Confirm that the exact wheel version is compatible with PS5 and that the game supports it. Product families can include different console versions; do not assume an Xbox-version wheel works like the PlayStation version. Logitech directs G923 owners to check its supported-games list, while Thrustmaster’s T-GT II instructions make the correct switch position dependent on the game. Logitech’s G923 product information identifies its PlayStation configuration as compatible with PS5, and PlayStation’s racing-wheels page is another starting point for checking compatible products. Verify the particular game’s support separately.
Connect and start the wheel
- Mount the wheel and position the pedals. Secure the wheel and route cables so they will not pull as you steer or use the pedals.
- Connect the pedals to the wheel base. Use the connector specified by the model’s manual. For the T-GT II, the pedal connection is at the rear of the base.
- Connect the power supply. Follow the wiring arrangement in your wheel’s manual; power connections are model-specific.
- Set any required switch or mode. For the T-GT II, choose OTHER or GT according to the game. For the T150, Thrustmaster says to set the switch to PS5-PS4 before connecting it to the console. Do not copy a setting from another model.
- Connect the wheel to the PS5 by USB. Plug it directly into the console. Thrustmaster advises T150 owners not to use a hub, extension, or other connection extension.
- Turn on the console and wait for calibration. Keep your hands and objects clear while the wheel moves. Logitech says the G923 rotates fully to each side and returns to center whenever it connects; Thrustmaster also documents startup calibration for the T-GT II.
- Press the wheel’s PS button and sign in if needed. Thrustmaster’s T-GT II instructions say to press the wheel’s PS button and log in to PlayStation Network for the wheel to function.
- Open the game and check its controls. Confirm that the game detects the wheel and pedals, then check the game’s own control settings for the features you want. There is no single PS5 menu path that applies to every title.
For model-specific details, use Logitech’s G923 quick-start guide or Thrustmaster’s T-GT II setup instructions.
Model-specific differences to watch
Logitech G923, PlayStation version
Logitech lists the PlayStation configuration as compatible with PS5. Its guide shows the PS5 installation and describes calibration on connection. TRUEFORCE and other advanced features depend on game integration, so check the supported-games information rather than assuming every title exposes them.

If the PS5 does not recognize the wheel
The wheel does not calibrate
- Check the power and cable connections against the manual for your exact model.
- Try another PS5 USB port, connecting the wheel directly to the console.
- Verify any console-mode switch. For a T150, confirm it is set to PS5-PS4.
Thrustmaster’s T150 help page specifically advises a direct USB connection and trying another console port.

- Press the wheel’s PS button; some models require it for operation or sign-in.
- Recheck the model’s required switch setting, if it has one.
- Check that the exact game supports your wheel. Console recognition alone does not establish game support.
The pedals do not respond
Check that the pedal connector is fully seated in the wheel base, then inspect the game’s controller configuration. Pedal troubleshooting differs by model, so consult its support instructions if that does not help.
