The HONOR Magic6 Pro is a launch-era flagship built around a large LTPO display, a versatile rear-camera setup, and a high-capacity silicon-carbon battery with fast charging. Reviews published around its 2024 launch praised its screen and battery, but also raised concerns about camera consistency, software polish, and price. It may suit buyers who value the hardware most; whether it is a good buy today depends on local pricing, availability, and how it compares with newer phones.
What the HONOR Magic6 Pro offers
HONOR’s pitch combines a large display, a silicon-carbon battery, and a multi-camera system. On its UK specifications page, HONOR lists a 6.8-inch display and a 180MP periscope telephoto camera. The display measurement is the diagonal of a standard rectangle; the actual viewable area is slightly smaller. Regional specifications can differ, so check the listing for the market where you plan to buy.
The UK page also lists 2.5x optical zoom, up to 100x digital zoom, and 4K video recording at 60 frames per second. Those are manufacturer specifications, not guarantees of image quality in every situation. The headline numbers describe capability; reviewer assessments point to a more mixed picture of real-world camera results.
HONOR Magic6 Pro pros
Large display is a standout
The LTPO display is one of the phone’s clearest strengths. TechRadar and Android Authority both praised the display experience in their launch-era reviews. The 6.8-inch size is well suited to video, reading, and other screen-heavy tasks, but it also makes this a large-format phone; whether that feels comfortable depends on the user.

Battery and charging are strong parts of the package
Battery life and fast charging featured prominently in the positive review coverage. Android Authority reported more than a day of battery life in its review, while TechRadar also highlighted the battery. These are reviewers’ findings rather than results from a standardized test in this article, and actual runtime will vary with use.
Flexible rear-camera hardware
The rear setup combines a high-resolution main camera, an ultrawide camera, and a periscope telephoto camera for longer-range framing. HONOR’s UK specifications identify the telephoto unit as 180MP, with 2.5x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. That breadth gives the phone options for different scenes, though it does not ensure consistent results across every lens or condition.

Launch-era reviewers saw flagship-level strengths
Android Authority judged the Magic6 Pro capable of matching or exceeding more expensive flagships in some core areas. That assessment reflects a 2024 review, not a controlled comparison with phones available in 2026.

HONOR Magic6 Pro cons
Camera results may be inconsistent
Despite the extensive camera hardware, TechRadar said the camera did not hit the mark every time. Android Authority also noted caveats for the most demanding mobile photographers. If dependable results across different scenes are your top priority, look beyond megapixel counts and zoom range: consistency matters as much as the available lenses.

Software polish is a trade-off
TechRadar criticized the Magic OS experience, describing it as less polished than Apple’s iOS or Samsung’s One UI, and considered the phone’s AI offering underdeveloped. Tech Advisor also flagged software as a consideration. These are reviewers’ opinions from launch-era coverage; the evidence here does not establish the phone’s current software version or its remaining update support.
Price needs a current check
Tech Advisor counted high price among its concerns. For historical context only, GSMArena reported a 12GB RAM/512GB storage configuration at launch in Europe and the UK in February 2024 for €1,299 and £1,100, respectively. Those are not current offers, and they do not establish today’s price, availability, or the configuration sold in every region.

Should you buy the HONOR Magic6 Pro?
Consider it if you want a large, high-quality display, strong battery and charging capabilities, and camera versatility, and you are comfortable with the software trade-offs described in launch-era reviews. It is a less obvious fit if you need consistently dependable camera performance, prefer a more polished interface, or would have to pay a premium without a current comparison against alternatives.
Before buying, check the exact regional model and storage configuration, local stock and price, network compatibility, and the seller’s terms. Verify the phone’s update policy directly for your region. Compare current alternatives on camera consistency and useful zoom, screen size and quality, battery and charging, software experience and update commitment, and total price. The available reviews support a strong launch-era hardware profile, but do not establish whether it is a better value than newer phones in 2026.
