To connect an Epson projector wirelessly, first check its exact model: some Epson projectors have built-in wireless LAN, while others require a compatible Epson wireless LAN module. Then choose a supported route—direct connection through Simple AP, screen mirroring with Miracast, or projection through a shared Wi-Fi network using Epson iProjection. Menu names and compatibility vary by model, so check the projector’s own guide before setup or buying an accessory.
Check whether your Epson projector supports wireless projection
Find the model number on the projector’s label or in its menu, then open the matching Epson wireless projection guide or model support page. Confirm whether wireless LAN is built in, whether that model requires an optional wireless LAN module, and which connection methods it supports. Some models require a specific Epson module; a generic wireless adapter is not necessarily compatible.
Also confirm that your computer, phone, or tablet supports the method you plan to use. Epson describes iProjection software for Windows and Mac and apps for iOS, Android, and Chromebook, but the available path depends on both the projector and sending-device platform. Download the appropriate software and instructions from Epson’s support information for your model and region. Epson describes iProjection as free to download in its cited guidance; app-store communication charges may still apply.

Choose a connection method
| Method | How it connects | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| Simple AP with iProjection Quick Connection Mode | The projector acts as a direct wireless access point for a supported device. | A direct connection when you do not want to route projection through a wireless access point. |
| Miracast | A compatible sending device mirrors its screen to a compatible projector. | Screen mirroring when both devices support Miracast. |
| iProjection Advanced Connection Mode | The projector and sending device connect through the appropriate wireless access point. | Projection over a shared network when the model supports this mode. |
Epson’s wireless connection-method guide explains the distinction between direct and network projection. The projector’s manual determines which options and menu labels apply to your model.

Connect directly with Simple AP
- On the projector, open its Network settings and enable Simple AP if the model provides it. Follow the model’s on-screen instructions for any security or passphrase settings.
- On the sending device, use Epson iProjection Quick Connection Mode or the model’s supported wireless connection flow to find and select the projector.
- Enter the displayed password or PIN if prompted, then start projection from the app or device interface.
In Simple AP mode, the projector serves as the direct access point. The exact menu path, network name, and security prompts differ by model; use the projector’s guide rather than assuming a universal sequence.
Connect through a wireless access point
- In the projector’s Network settings, connect it to the wireless access point and enter the network credentials when prompted.
- Connect the computer or mobile device to the corresponding network.
- Open Epson iProjection and use Advanced Connection Mode if the projector supports it, then select the projector and begin projecting.
Epson’s EB-805F wireless setup FAQ gives a model-specific example of network setup. Its menu sequence should not be treated as universal: consult the guide for your projector, and verify that both devices are on the intended network.

Use Miracast to mirror a Windows PC or mobile device
Windows example for the EB-810E and EB-815E
For the EB-810E/EB-815E guide’s Windows 10 and Windows 11 procedure, enable Screen Mirroring in the projector’s network settings, switch the projector to the Screen Mirroring source, press Windows+K, and choose the projector. Enter the PIN shown on the projector if Windows requests it. These steps and labels apply to that model guide, not automatically to every Epson projector.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesPhone or tablet
For a compatible phone or tablet and projector, put the projector on its Screen Mirroring standby screen, open the device’s Miracast function, search for the projector, and select it. Enter the displayed PIN if requested. The way to start Miracast varies by device; check its documentation if you cannot find the setting.

- Lightweight and travel friendly - thin as a laptop; weighs just 4 lb
- Look for two numbers - 3,200 lumens Color Brightness for more accurate, vivid color and 3,200 lumens White Brightness for well-lit rooms
- Sharp images - WXGA resolution (1280 x 800); offers 2x more resolution than SVGA for HD-quality presentations;Projector is compatible with PC and Mac computers
- Includes a high-speed LAN module for wireless connectivity
Miracast requires support on both ends. Epson’s EB-810E/EB-815E User’s Guide also documents limits for that model family: some resolution and frame-rate combinations may not work; 3D video, interlaced images, audio above three channels, and some copyright-protected content are unsupported in the described screen-mirroring mode. Check your own projector’s guide before relying on Miracast for a particular source.
If the projector does not appear or the image is unstable
- No projector appears: Check that wireless LAN power and the intended projection mode are enabled. For a network setup, verify that both devices are connected to the expected network; for a direct setup, use the projector’s supported Simple AP or Miracast flow.
- A recent disconnect: Restart the sending device and wait before trying to reconnect, following the model-specific Epson guidance.
- Weak or unstable image: Reduce distance and obstacles between devices, move potential sources of interference such as Bluetooth devices or microwaves, and reduce the number of connected devices if performance declines.
- Mirroring works, but some content does not: Protected content and certain image formats or audio configurations may be restricted. The limits differ by projector and connection method.
For further model-specific troubleshooting, consult Epson’s wireless network projection User’s Guide and your projector’s own manual.

- ULTRA BRIGHTNESS — 4,000 Lumens of Color Brightness (IDMS rated) and 4,000 Lumens of White Brightness (ISO Rated)¹; Wall projector allows you to display group presentations, spreadsheets and videos, even in well-lit rooms
- CRISP IMAGE QUALITY — Advanced 3-Chip 3LCD technology displays 100% of RGB color signal for every frame, providing precision color accuracy while maintaining vivid color brightness, without distracting "rainbowing" or "color brightness" issues
- VERSATILE CONNECTIVITY — Epson video projector features two HDMI ports so you can easily connect laptops and streaming devices², including Amazon Fire, Apple TV, Roku and Chromecast; Connect laptops for seamless video conferencing and more
- QUICK AND SIMPLE SETUP — The built-in speaker means you can start using this business projector immediately; Easy setup for video and audio right out of the box; Portable projector can also be easily repositioned
Wireless projection may not suit streaming video
Epson says iProjection is not recommended for streaming video in the cited manuals. Miracast restrictions can also prevent some protected content from displaying. If streaming is the main goal, check the projector’s supported inputs and the streaming service’s requirements rather than assuming a wireless presentation connection will work reliably.
When you need a wireless LAN module
If your model lacks built-in wireless LAN, it may require an optional Epson module made for that projector. The EB-805F FAQ names module V12H005A02 for its model context; that part number is not a general recommendation for other Epson projectors. Confirm compatibility on the exact model’s Epson support page before purchasing any module.
