To make a compatible Logitech keyboard discoverable, turn it on, select an Easy-Switch channel, then hold that channel’s button for about three seconds until its light blinks rapidly. Open Bluetooth settings on the device you want to connect and choose the keyboard when it appears. The exact button and device name vary by model.
What “discoverable” means
A discoverable keyboard is in Bluetooth pairing mode, ready to be found by a computer, phone, or tablet. On the Logitech Easy-Switch models covered here, the selected channel’s rapidly blinking light indicates pairing mode. Logitech’s setup guides describe holding the selected channel key for about three seconds to start it when the light is not already blinking rapidly.
Put the keyboard in pairing mode and connect it
- Turn on the keyboard.
- Select the Easy-Switch channel you want to pair. If that channel’s light is not blinking rapidly, press and hold its button for about three seconds.
- On the computer, phone, or tablet, open Bluetooth settings and scan for devices.
- Select the keyboard in the device list and follow any on-screen prompts to finish pairing.
Keep the host device’s Bluetooth screen open while you do this. The exact key label and name shown in the device list depend on the keyboard model.
Model-specific instructions
Logitech K380
Turn on the K380, choose one of its three Easy-Switch channels, and hold that channel button for three seconds if its light is not blinking rapidly. Then select the keyboard in the host device’s Bluetooth settings. Logitech says the K380 can pair with up to three devices; after pairing, a short press on an Easy-Switch button switches between them. When re-pairing, Logitech says the pairing mode remains active for the next three minutes. Logitech K380 connection instructions and Logitech K380 re-pairing guidance.

If the Logitech keyboard does not appear
- Check the power and channel light. Make sure the keyboard is on and the intended Easy-Switch channel is selected. If its light is not blinking rapidly, hold that channel button for about three seconds.
- Scan promptly. Leave the host device’s Bluetooth settings open and select the keyboard when it appears. For K380 re-pairing, Logitech documents a three-minute pairing window.
- Follow the host’s prompts. For a K380, Logitech’s re-pairing instructions say to select the keyboard in the Bluetooth list and follow the device’s on-screen steps. On iPhone or iPad, enter a pairing code only if one is displayed.
- Check the exact model’s guide. The steps above apply to the cited K380, MX Keys, and MX Keys Mini instructions; other Logitech keyboards may use different controls or LED behavior. Find the model name and follow its Logitech support guide if the key labels do not match.
- Use a receiver only if your model supports it. The MX Keys guide describes a receiver option for that keyboard, but a USB receiver is not a universal requirement or a general Bluetooth fix. Follow the receiver instructions for your specific model.
