Gmail’s Manage subscriptions view lets you review active subscriptions and unsubscribe sender by sender. It can remove all active mailing lists associated with a selected sender, but Google does not document a single control that unsubscribes you from every sender at once. The feature is gradually rolling out, so it may not appear in every account.

Unsubscribe from multiple senders in Gmail

  1. On a computer: Open Gmail, click More in the left navigation, then select Manage subscriptions. Google’s computer instructions describe this subscription-management view.
  2. On Android: Open the Gmail app, tap Menu, then tap Manage subscriptions. Google’s Android instructions cover the mobile route.
  3. Review the senders shown. Select Unsubscribe beside each sender you no longer want to hear from, and repeat for other senders.

Gmail says this action removes you from all active mailing lists associated with the selected sender. It is a sender-by-sender process, not a documented one-step unsubscribe from all senders.

Manage subscriptions or unsubscribe from one email?

Use Manage subscriptions when you want to review subscriptions across senders or leave the active lists associated with a particular sender. The unsubscribe option on an individual message is narrower: it may apply only to that mailing list. Depending on the sender, Gmail may direct you to the sender’s website to complete the request. See Google’s instructions for unsubscribing from an individual email.

If Manage subscriptions is missing

Google says the feature is gradually rolling out and may not be available to every Gmail account yet. If you do not see it, open a message from the mailing list and use Unsubscribe beside the sender if Gmail offers that option. If Gmail sends you to the sender’s website, follow the sender’s unsubscribe process there.

What happens after you unsubscribe?

A sender may take a few days to process an unsubscribe request. Google says new messages from a sender you unsubscribe from through Manage subscriptions go to Spam. If a wanted message ends up there, use Report not spam to move it back to your inbox.

Unsubscribe is different from blocking

Blocking a sender does not remove you from its mailing list. It routes future messages from that sender to Spam; use an unsubscribe option to request removal from a mailing list.
