Colorlib Sidebar V07 is a dark, off-canvas sidebar design with an account-creation progress indicator, completion checkmarks, hover styling, and a profile avatar and name. It may suit an onboarding or multi-step account interface, but the listed components alone do not establish a complete signup flow.

What is included in Sidebar V07?

Colorlib describes V07 as a dark sidebar that sits off-canvas until opened. Its distinctive elements support a profile or account-oriented interface:

  • A progress bar for account-creation steps.
  • Green checkmarks to indicate completed steps.
  • A hover effect for interactive items.
  • An avatar and name at the bottom of the sidebar.

These features make it a possible visual starting point for onboarding, but you would still need to connect the progress display and completion states to your own form logic. The description does not establish that V07 includes a complete registration process.

How does the off-canvas layout work?

An off-canvas sidebar is positioned outside the main visible layout until an interaction brings it into view. That can preserve room for the page’s primary content, especially on a narrower screen. Colorlib’s roundup advises choosing between overlay and push behavior and considering phone layouts, but it does not specify V07’s exact mobile behavior. Test the downloaded template at the screen sizes and interaction states your project needs.

What technology and compatibility does Colorlib describe?

In its September 2026 roundup, Colorlib says its Sidebar V01–V10 templates were rebuilt without jQuery. It describes the collection as dependency-free HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript that can be used on its own or in Bootstrap 4, 5, or 6 projects without loading Bootstrap files or jQuery. This is collection-level guidance; the V07 page does not list its source files or independently document its dependencies. Review the downloaded files before assuming a particular implementation or integration path.

Is Sidebar V07 free to use?

The V07 page lists the CC BY 3.0 license. Colorlib’s September 2026 sidebar-template roundup says the collection is free for personal and commercial projects and that the credit link should be kept. Check the license included with the download and preserve any required attribution before deploying a modified or live version.

How to preview or download the template

  1. Open Colorlib’s Sidebar V07 page and use its preview link to inspect the design.
  2. Use the page’s download link to obtain the template files.
  3. Review the included files and license, then test the sidebar’s open, close, hover, and progress states in your own project.

The page displays a post date of November 25, 2020, and separately lists “Released: 2025.” Those are distinct pieces of page metadata; neither should be treated as a confirmed replacement for the other. Download availability and page details can change.

How to decide whether V07 fits your project

  • Choose it as a starting point when a dark sidebar with account progress and profile identity matches the design you want.
  • Plan for implementation work if you need working form validation, saved progress, authentication, or other signup behavior; the component description does not promise these functions.
  • Check the interaction on your target devices because the available V07 description does not establish its specific mobile layout or accessibility behavior.
  • Compare alternatives by purpose and behavior—such as navigation versus profile support, light versus dark styling, and overlay versus push—rather than assuming the version number indicates a technical advantage.
