Multiselect V14 is described as a free, mobile-responsive dropdown for choosing multiple values, with a select-all action and a compact display of selected items. There is an important qualification: although Colorlib calls it a country-selection snippet, its description says the menu contains “fifty states.” That does not establish that it includes countries worldwide.
What Multiselect V14 is described to do
Colorlib’s September 28, 2026 article presents V14 as a country-selection snippet. Its description says users can select multiple options, select all, and see up to four selected names before the control replaces the list with a number. It also says the layout reshapes for mobile screens. These are the publisher’s descriptions, not independently tested behavior. See Colorlib’s multiselect examples.
The same description says the dropdown opens with “fifty states.” Because the page uses both country-selection language and state-specific wording, verify the options in the current demo or download before using it for an international country list.

Colorlib says its collection is built with HTML, CSS, and a small amount of vanilla JavaScript, without jQuery, Bootstrap files, or a plugin. It also says the dropdowns retain an underlying native <select> and write selected choices to it so they can submit with a form. Those are collection-level claims; check V14’s actual files and test form submission before relying on them in a production form. Review the collection and V14 download.

Check these details before using it
- Options: Confirm whether V14 contains the states described or the country values your form needs.
- Form submission: Test that selected values are reflected in the submitted form data.
- Display behavior: Check how the control summarizes selections beyond the stated four-name display.
- License and attribution: Colorlib says the snippets are free for personal and commercial use under CC BY 3.0 when the credit link is retained. Check the specific V14 download and its license file before modifying or redistributing it.
When a different approach may be a better fit
If you need a native multiple-select with optional search, select-all, or a maximum number of visible selected items, one separate plain-JavaScript project documents those features and its native-select integration. It is not V14, so its capabilities should not be attributed to V14. Read the separate multiselect project documentation.
If your form needs a region field that changes in response to the selected country, a separate country-region selector documents dependent fields, configurable country values, and dynamic initialization.
