Checkbox V19 is a free animated on/off toggle snippet from Colorlib’s checkbox collection. Colorlib describes the on state as changing from light to green; its page also shows a disabled example that may respond visually when clicked but does not change state. The snippet is part of the collection’s V11–V20 group, which Colorlib says uses HTML, CSS, and a few lines of vanilla JavaScript.
What Checkbox V19 does
V19 presents a toggle-style control rather than a conventional checkbox and checkmark. In Colorlib’s description, switching it on triggers an animation and changes the control from light to green. The collection page also includes a disabled example: it can appear to respond to a click, but its state does not change. Colorlib describes V18 as a smooth white-to-green toggle and V20 as another on/off variation. They are alternatives in the same collection, not independently tested recommendations. Choose by how clearly each design communicates its state and whether the toggle fits your interface.
How to add it to a project
Colorlib says V11–V20 examples use HTML and CSS plus a few lines of vanilla JavaScript. The publisher says the snippets can be used on their own or in Bootstrap 4, 5, or 6 projects, and that they do not load jQuery or Bootstrap files. This describes the collection; the page does not establish a browser compatibility matrix or independent performance results.

Keep a real <input type="checkbox"> as the underlying control rather than building the interaction from a decorative element alone. Associate its label with the input so clicking the label changes the setting, the control remains usable by keyboard, and assistive technology can identify it. Apply the animation and visual treatment to the semantic control, and confirm that its checked value is submitted correctly if it is part of a form.
Choose a checkbox or a switch based on the action
- Use a checkbox when a person is selecting an option that will be applied when a form is submitted.
- Use a switch when the setting takes effect immediately, such as turning a preference on or off.
Do not rely on the light-to-green color change alone to communicate whether V19 is on. Preserve a visible state cue—such as knob movement or another clear change—and ensure the checked and unchecked states remain distinguishable without color.

What to check before shipping
- Test both checked and unchecked states, including the visible animation and any value your form submits.
- Confirm the disabled version cannot be changed, and make its disabled status apparent rather than relying on a click response.
- Use the keyboard to reach and toggle an enabled control, and verify its label is associated with the checkbox input.
- Check that state is clear without color alone and that the control fits the setting’s immediate-action or form-submission behavior.
