To unlock the Reaper fighting style in Slayers 2, become a demon, reach level 100, then find Harvester of Souls Zurinyz in Iceveil Valley and complete the reported trial: hand over 20 Common Fish, find the Reaper Scroll, deal 12,000 fist M1 damage, and defeat Reaper Trainee Kuzan. The style is called Reaping Blades; it is separate from the Reaper Blood Demon Art.

What “Reaper” means in Slayers 2

In the fighting-style guide, “Reaper” refers to Reaping Blades, a demon fighting style taught by Harvester of Souls Zurinyz. It is not the Reaper Blood Demon Art, which is a different system with a separate move set. Keep the two distinct when looking up moves or unlock instructions: the Reaping Blades guide covers the fighting style, while the Reaper Blood Demon Art guide concerns the BDA.

Requirements and reported unlock route

The fan guides report that Reaping Blades is available to demons at level 100 or higher. Zurinyz is located in a hut in Iceveil Valley, also described by another guide as the snow area. These are unofficial instructions, so check the live game if a patch has changed the map or requirements.

  1. Become a demon and reach level 100. The listed eligibility requirement is demon status and level 100+. The style guide lists the level requirement; the trainer guide also places Zurinyz in the snow area.
  2. Prepare for the cold and travel to Iceveil Valley. The route guide recommends cold protection. Another guide suggests using an Emberheart Lantern or campfires along the snow route.
  3. Speak to Harvester of Souls Zurinyz. Find the hut in Iceveil Valley and begin the Reaper trial.
  4. Complete the four reported objectives. Hand over 20 Common Fish, obtain the Reaper Scroll, deal 12,000 fist M1 damage, and defeat Reaper Trainee Kuzan. The checklist is reported by the trial guide.
  5. Claim Reaping Blades. The guide lists the fighting style as the trial reward. It also reports a trial payout of 3,600 Exp and 1,620 Wen.

Where to find the Reaper Scroll and Kuzan

Reaper Scroll clue

The clue quoted by the trial guide is: “In the lake beneath the falls, on the road to the bamboo sanctuary.” Use it to search the lake area beneath the waterfall along the route to the bamboo sanctuary.

Reaper Trainee Kuzan

Kuzan is described as waiting in “A cave where small blue caps grow on the rock and snow.” The guide reports that Kuzan drops Traversal Reap at a 10% chance. The source does not establish whether that chance can vary by update or other conditions.

Reaping Blades moves and what is known

The style guide names Cross Reaver and Traversal Reap. Traversal Reap is reported as a drop from Kuzan rather than a guaranteed part of the trial reward. The available style information does not reliably establish the moves’ full mechanics, inputs, cooldowns, or mastery unlock conditions, so do not assume details from the similarly named Blood Demon Art.

  • Punch demons with the power of bands created!
  • The battle of Tanjiro Kamado will again unfold …

A combat guide updated September 19, 2026, describes Reaper as a timing-based pressure style and reports that its X-move windup was extended to 0.67 seconds. That is a limited guide-reported balance note, not a complete or official patch history. The combat guide does not provide a full move-by-move account in the cited information.

How demanding is the unlock?

The community guide’s comparison gives a useful sense of the trial burden, but its evaluations are impressions rather than controlled performance tests. It reports that Soryu opens at level 62 with 8,000 fist damage, while Reaping Blades opens at level 100 with 12,000 fist damage. The same guide says players often favor Soryu in PvP for its counter and Reaping Blades for bosses; it does not rank the styles, and compatibility with Blood Demon Arts is still being worked out. See the guide’s comparison.
