For buyers in India, the POCO X8 Pro is the stronger fit on paper for its listed chipset, 100W charging and ultrawide camera. The OnePlus Nord CE 6 5G is the reported choice for a larger, faster-refresh display and a higher-capacity battery. Listed prices vary by source, so there is no dependable single price difference without checking current offers and matching storage configurations.

How the phones differ in everyday buying priorities
Performance: POCO has the stronger listed chipset
The POCO’s Dimensity 8500-Ultra is listed with a higher maximum clock than the Nord’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. That makes POCO the chipset-led choice on paper, but clock speed alone does not establish real-world speed. No independent head-to-head benchmark or thermal test is available here.

Screen: Nord is larger and has the higher reported refresh rate
The Nord’s reported 6.78-inch, 144Hz screen is larger and has a higher maximum refresh rate than the POCO’s official 6.59-inch, up-to-120Hz display. Refresh rate can vary with settings and the content being shown, so the maximum figure is not a guarantee that every app runs at that rate.
Battery and charging: capacity and charging speed point to different phones
POCO specifies a typical battery capacity of 6,500mAh and up to 100W HyperCharge. It says its 48-minute charge from 1% to 100% was measured in POCO Internal Labs using the in-box 100W charger, with “Top speed” enabled and the display off at approximately 25°C; that result is a manufacturer test under those conditions, not a general charge-time guarantee. POCO also notes that charger availability can vary by local seller.

Comparison sources list the Nord with an 8,000mAh battery and 80W charging. The capacity is higher on the listed specification, while POCO’s stated charging wattage is higher. Neither capacity nor wattage alone establishes battery endurance or actual charging time.
Cameras: POCO lists an ultrawide; Nord lists more selfie megapixels
POCO’s official page specifies a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with optical image stabilization and an 8MP ultrawide. Comparison pages list a 50MP main and 2MP secondary rear camera for the Nord, plus a 32MP front camera versus POCO’s 20MP. The available figures do not establish which phone takes better photos; megapixel counts are not image-quality tests.

Storage and water resistance: confirm the regional model
POCO’s global page lists three memory and storage configurations, while comparison sites list the Nord with 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB storage. Those listings do not establish which configurations are sold in India or whether their prices are comparable. The pages also report different ingress-protection ratings—IP68 for POCO and IP69K for Nord—whose test conditions differ. Do not treat one label as categorically superior without checking official documentation for the exact regional models.

Comparison-site snapshots show the POCO at either ₹39,999 or ₹42,890, while the Nord is listed at ₹37,999. The resulting apparent POCO premium ranges from ₹2,000 to ₹4,891, but these are not confirmed checkout prices and the cited pages may not represent the same time, configuration or offer.
