In Warzone’s Season 06 Haunted Hollow, activate a signal lever as the Ghost Train approaches, board once it stops and becomes solid, then use the Mystery Box on a rear carriage until the Ray Gun appears. The Ray Gun is a random reward, not a guaranteed drop, and you must claim it before the train turns ghostly and moves on.
Where and when the Ghost Train appears
The Ghost Train is part of the Season 06 Halloween version of Haven’s Hollow, renamed Haunted Hollow. Season 06 launched on September 17, 2026, according to Call of Duty’s Season 06 announcement. Official patch notes say the train circles the map at the start of each match. A signal can stop it and phase it into reality, exposing a Mystery Box, Supply Boxes, a Buy Station, and other resources. The Mystery Box is marked by a beam in the sky and an icon on the Tac Map (Season 06 patch notes).
The route and lever details below come from a secondary guide updated September 19, 2026, rather than the official patch notes. Playlist availability and seasonal map content can change, so check the current in-game playlist and map if Haunted Hollow is not available.

- Enter a Haunted Hollow match. A current guide reports that the activity can be attempted in Casual or standard Resurgence playlists, but playlist availability may change. See the AllThingsHow Ghost Train guide.
- Find the train and follow its route. The guide describes two possible paths: a west-to-east route past Lumbermill, or an eastern route past Coal Depot toward Mansion and Research. Watch the train in your match instead of assuming which path it will take.
- Choose a signal lever on its route. The guide lists locations at Train Station, between Main Street and Riverboat, Lumbermill, and Coal Depot. Head for one that intersects the train’s current path.
- Activate the lever while the train is still approaching. The guide advises pulling it with some distance between you and the train; if activated too late, the train may pass through. Official notes confirm that a signal stops and phases the train, but do not specify this timing advice.
- Board when the train stops and becomes solid. Look in the rear carriages for the Mystery Box. Glowing question marks help identify it; the sky beam and Tac Map marker provide additional cues.
- Use the box and take the Ray Gun if it appears. Keep rolling for rewards; the Ray Gun is a rare random result, and no fixed spin count or drop probability is published. Claim the item before the limited train-loot opportunity ends.
What to do if the Ray Gun does not appear
Keep using the Mystery Box while the train remains in its physical phase, but do not expect a guaranteed result from any one roll. Official notes say the reward must be claimed before it disappears; they do not give an exact timer. If the train turns ghostly and moves on before you get the Ray Gun, follow it to another signal and try again, as described in the current guide.
