To download a Minecraft Realm world, use the menu for your edition: Bedrock downloads a world from its Realm Hub slots, while Java downloads it from World Backups. The result is a local copy; it does not change the world currently active on your Realm.
Download a Bedrock Realm world

Launch Minecraft and select Play, then Realms.

Open the Realms Hub for the Realm, then select World and Slots.

Find the world you want. Open the three-dot menu beside Edit world and choose Download World.

Minecraft Help says the downloaded copy is added to All Worlds and can also be copied from file storage. The official instructions do not specify one local file path that applies to every device; consult the file-location instructions for your platform if you need to find the copy outside Minecraft. Download a Java Realm world

Launch Minecraft and select Minecraft Realms.
-
Select the Realm, then choose Configure and World Backups.

Select Download Latest, then choose Continue.
The downloaded world is added to your single-player worlds. Minecraft Help: Download a Realms World (Java).

Move a Bedrock world to another device
Minecraft Help documents a Realms-based transfer: upload the world from the source device to a Realm slot, then download it from the destination device. The copy appears on the destination device’s Worlds tab. Before starting, the help article says to have an active Realms trial or paid subscription and to update Minecraft on both devices. This is a transfer workflow, not a requirement for downloading a copy to the device you are already using. Minecraft Help: Transfer Minecraft Worlds to Another Device.

Choose Download when you want a local copy and want the Realm’s current world to remain unchanged. Choose Restore only when you want the Realm itself returned to an earlier save state; changes made after that save may be lost.

Java restore path
Open Minecraft Realms, select the Realm, then choose Configure → World Backups. Select Restore beside the version you want. Minecraft Help: Java Realm downloads and backups.
Bedrock restore path
Go to Play → Realms, open the Realm’s Realms Hub, then select World. Open the Manual or Automatic saves tab, open the menu for the save, and choose Restore save. This changes the Realm’s active world rather than creating only a local copy. Minecraft Help: Restore a World from a Backup in Minecraft Realms.
