What does the A20 Pro chip add?
Apple describes A20 Pro as a 2-nanometer chip with a six-core CPU, a seven-core GPU with Neural Accelerators, and a dual 16-core Neural Engine. In its 2026 announcement, Apple compared it with A19 Pro and claimed up to 20 percent faster CPU performance, up to 40 percent faster and more power-efficient GPU performance, twice the Neural Engine compute power for on-device AI models, and 50 percent more unified memory bandwidth. These are Apple’s own comparisons, not independently measured benchmark results.
For iPhone Duo, Apple also claims up to 35 percent better sustained performance than iPhone 17 Pro. That figure is a vendor comparison specific to Duo, not a published independent test. Apple’s description of the chip and those comparisons appears in its iPhone Duo announcement.

Which A20 Pro model fits your priorities?
Choose iPhone 18 Pro for a conventional Pro phone
It is the straightforward fit if you want the slab-style Pro form factor and the listed 48MP Pro Fusion camera system, without choosing the larger Pro Max or a foldable. Check the model’s screen and camera specifics, storage tier, and the live India price before deciding.

Pro Max is the larger conventional option. Apple describes it as having the largest battery-life increase on a Pro model in this generation, but that statement is not a direct comparison of real-world hours across different use patterns. Use Apple’s stated playback conditions as a reference rather than treating them as a guarantee for your daily routine.

Choose iPhone Duo if you want a foldable layout
Duo’s inner screen gives you a larger display when unfolded, while its outer screen supports use in the folded configuration. Its custom vapour chamber and dual-battery architecture are design features Apple highlights; they do not establish battery performance for every usage pattern. Consider whether you will regularly use the inner display enough to prefer this format over a conventional phone.

- Assess battery claims in context: Apple’s video-playback figures use stated test conditions and are not a typical-use forecast.
