Choose the OnePlus 12R for a larger display
At 6.78 inches, the 12R offers a substantially larger viewing area than the X300 FE’s 6.31-inch screen. Its LTPO panel is listed with a variable 1–120 Hz refresh rate. This makes the OnePlus the more natural fit if a roomy screen for video, reading or games matters more than one-handed handling.
Choose the vivo X300 FE for a more compact handset and telephoto hardware
vivo lists the X300 FE at 191g and gives it a dedicated 50MP telephoto camera with 3× optical zoom, alongside a 50MP stabilized main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide. The 12R’s listed rear cameras are a 50MP stabilized main, 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro; it has no dedicated telephoto camera in the listed configuration. This is a difference in camera hardware, not proof that one phone takes better photos: there is no controlled side-by-side image test here.

Price difference and availability in India
The snapshots checked on October 7, 2026 do not establish a dependable current price gap. vivo India’s online store displayed ₹94,999 for the X300 FE 12GB+256GB, alongside a displayed MRP of ₹119,999. A 91mobiles comparison page showed ₹34,999 for the OnePlus 12R but marked it out of stock. These are different listings with different stock conditions, not a like-for-like, in-stock comparison or a guaranteed current offer.
Before comparing prices, match the RAM and storage configuration, confirm the seller and stock, and compare listings for the same Indian market on the same day. The vivo India Store is the source for vivo’s displayed offer; the 12R price and stock label appeared on the 91mobiles comparison page. Prices and availability can change, and these India-market observations do not establish pricing in other countries.
Performance, memory and storage
The listed platforms and storage standards put these phones in different product generations. OnePlus specifies the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage for the 12R. vivo specifies the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for the X300 FE. The available configurations also differ: OnePlus lists 8GB+128GB and 16GB+256GB, while vivo lists 8GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB on its parameter page.

Those specifications alone do not establish real-world speed, gaming performance, heat or battery efficiency. The pages also do not guarantee that every listed configuration is sold in every market, so confirm the exact variant offered locally.
Battery capacity and charging
OnePlus lists a 5,500 mAh typical battery and 100W charging for the 12R. vivo lists a 6,500 mAh typical capacity and 6,350 mAh minimum rated capacity for the X300 FE. vivo’s stated 90W FlashCharge depends on using the original charger and cable, and the company notes that charging power varies with use.
Capacity and maximum charging rate are specifications, not direct measures of daily endurance or charging time. Without comparable controlled testing, these figures do not show which phone lasts longer in ordinary use or how quickly each charges from the same starting level.

Water protection and software support
Protection rating
vivo lists IP68/IP69 protection for the X300 FE. The cited OnePlus 12R specification page does not state a comparable water- or dust-resistance rating, so that absence should not be treated as proof of a particular protection level.
Software and updates
The X300 FE is listed with Android 16 and OriginOS 6. OnePlus says the 12R, which shipped with Android 14, will receive “At least three generations of android OS upgrades and four years of security updates from the launch date.” This is OnePlus’s stated commitment; the vivo pages cited here do not establish a directly comparable X300 FE update-duration promise.
