On the dated India prices in 91mobiles’ 26 April 2026 comparison, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro is the stronger all-round pick for gaming, battery capacity, faster wired charging and ultrawide photography. The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro suits buyers who value a 3.5x optical zoom camera, its metal-and-Glyph design, or one additional year of promised security updates. The price comparison also matters: Motorola’s Rs 38,999 model has 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, while Nothing’s Rs 39,999 entry model has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Which phone should you buy?

Your priority Better fit Reason
Gaming and demanding use Motorola Edge 70 Pro Its Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor and UFS 4.1 storage are the stronger listed combination. Beebom also favors it for gaming, though actual results vary by game and workload. Beebom’s comparison
Battery capacity and faster top-ups Motorola Edge 70 Pro It has a 6,500mAh battery and 90W wired charging, compared with 5,400mAh and 50W on Nothing. These specifications do not establish measured battery life or charging time.
Zooming in on distant subjects Nothing Phone (4a) Pro Its dedicated periscope camera offers 3.5x optical zoom; Motorola has no dedicated telephoto camera.
Ultrawide photos and high-frame-rate video Motorola Edge 70 Pro Its ultrawide camera is listed at 50MP, versus 8MP on Nothing. Beebom reports 4K/60fps recording across Motorola’s cameras, while Nothing is capped at 4K/30fps.
Distinctive design and interface Nothing Phone (4a) Pro Its metal unibody, transparent camera area and Glyph Matrix offer a more distinctive look than Motorola’s quad-curved design.
Front-camera resolution and autofocus Motorola Edge 70 Pro The comparison lists a 50MP autofocus selfie camera, against Nothing’s 32MP fixed-focus camera. Resolution alone does not determine image quality.
Promised security support Nothing Phone (4a) Pro The cited comparisons list six years of security support for Nothing and five for Motorola; both are listed for three major Android upgrades.

The comparison’s figures and features are reported specifications, not independent lab results. For the dated prices and storage variants, see the table below.

What do the dated India prices include?

91mobiles’ comparison was published on 26 April 2026 and updated on 28 April 2026. Its listed prices are not live quotes; check the current India listing, exact variant, stock and checkout price before buying.

Configuration Motorola Edge 70 Pro Nothing Phone (4a) Pro
8GB RAM / 128GB storage Not listed by 91mobiles’ comparison Rs 39,999
8GB RAM / 256GB storage Rs 38,999 Rs 42,999
12GB RAM / 256GB storage Rs 41,999 Rs 45,999

That makes Motorola’s listed 8GB/256GB configuration the option below Rs 40,000 in this comparison. Nothing’s listed model below that threshold has 128GB storage; its 256GB variants are above it. A later 91mobiles listing snapshot differed from the comparison, so treat these figures as dated reference prices, not today’s offers. How do the displays and designs differ?

Both phones are listed with 1.5K-class AMOLED displays and 144Hz refresh rates. Motorola’s display is listed as 6.8 inches and quad-curved; Nothing’s is 6.83 inches and flat. The comparison reports peak-brightness claims of 5,200 nits for Motorola and 5,000 nits for Nothing. Those are specification claims relayed by editorial sources, not independent brightness measurements.

Choose based on handling and appearance as well as the numbers. Motorola’s curved screen and quad-curved styling contrast with Nothing’s flat display, metal body and Glyph Matrix. The latter is the more visually distinctive choice; whether that design is preferable is personal.

Which camera setup is more useful?

Nothing: a dedicated optical-zoom camera

Nothing pairs a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera offering 3.5x optical zoom. Its third rear camera is an 8MP ultrawide. That dedicated zoom camera makes Nothing the better-supported choice for framing distant subjects without relying only on digital cropping.

Motorola: higher-resolution ultrawide and a video advantage on paper

Motorola’s rear setup includes a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 50MP ultrawide/macro camera, but no dedicated telephoto. The higher listed ultrawide resolution may appeal to people who frequently shoot wide scenes, although megapixel count alone does not guarantee better photos.

This is a specification comparison, not a guarantee of better footage: stabilization, lighting, audio and switching cameras can all affect production results. Read Beebom’s camera comparison.

How do performance, battery and durability compare?

Performance and storage

The listed chipsets are MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme for Motorola and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 for Nothing. Both are listed with LPDDR5X RAM, while Motorola uses UFS 4.1 storage and Nothing UFS 3.1. Beebom notes that Nothing has a larger vapor chamber, but its comparison still favors Motorola for gaming. Treat that as an editorial assessment rather than a promise about every title or sustained workload.

Battery and charging

Motorola lists a 6,500mAh battery with 90W wired charging; Nothing lists 5,400mAh and 50W wired charging. The reviewed comparisons do not provide a controlled, like-for-like battery test, so capacity alone cannot tell you how many hours either phone will last. Charger wattage likewise does not establish a real-world charge time.

Water and dust protection

The comparison lists IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H for Motorola, versus IP65 for Nothing. These ratings refer to defined test conditions; they do not make either phone damage-proof. Beebom’s specifications comparison

How long are software and security updates promised?

The cited comparisons list Android 16 and three major OS upgrades for both phones. They report five years of security support for Motorola and six years for Nothing, giving Nothing the stated one-year advantage on security updates. If the support term is decisive for your purchase, check the manufacturer’s latest policy before buying.

A 91mobiles software article recorded Nothing OS 4.1 and an April 2026 security patch on both phones at that time. That is a historical software snapshot, not a check of their October 2026 versions. Read the 91mobiles software comparison.

How to choose between them

  • Choose the Motorola Edge 70 Pro if gaming-oriented hardware, more battery capacity, faster wired charging, a higher-resolution ultrawide or the dated 8GB/256GB price is your priority.
  • Choose the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro if optical zoom, its metal-and-Glyph design or the cited additional year of security support matters more.
  • For photography, decide whether you use zoom or ultrawide framing more often; neither camera layout is universally better.
  • Before paying, verify the exact storage configuration and current India price rather than relying on the dated comparison figures.
