For most Samsung refrigerator shelves, open the door fully, gently lift the shelf at the front, and slide it toward the opening. The shelf above the crisper drawers can use a different release, so identify the assembly before pulling. Samsung notes that removal steps vary by model; if your shelf does not move as described, stop and check the manual for your refrigerator.
Remove a standard refrigerator shelf

Open the corresponding refrigerator door fully.

Hold the shelf at its front edge, lift gently, and slide it toward the opening. Samsung’s general instructions describe lifting and sliding; shelf supports differ, so do not force the shelf or lift it farther than its supports allow.

Set the shelf on a stable, clean surface. Support it as you move it because glass can break and cause injury.

Remove the glass shelf above the crisper drawers
The bottom glass shelf may be attached to a drawer divider and water-filter housing. If your setup has these parts, use the more involved release rather than treating it like a standard shelf.

Remove the lower door bins and both crisper drawers. Angle the drawers slightly toward the center as you slide them out.

Press and hold the tabs on both sides of the drawer divider and water-filter housing.

Lift the shelf away from the housing. Lift it slightly while pulling it away from the rear wall, then angle one side down as needed to clear the opening.

Place the shelf carefully on a clean, flat surface.
This sequence applies to the described bottom-shelf assembly, not every Samsung refrigerator. Samsung’s shelf and drawer removal guide and French-door bottom shelf instructions explain the relevant variations.
Separate glass from a plastic frame only when clips release
Some framed shelves have removable retainer clips at the rear corners where the glass meets the plastic. If your shelf has those clips, turn the shelf over, press the tab nearest the center while slightly lifting that rear corner, and remove both clips. Then gently lift the glass away from the frame. Reverse the steps to put it back.

Do not pry apart a framed shelf that has no removable clips. Samsung says some models lack them, and attempting to separate those assemblies can damage the shelf. The Gulf guide notes that damaged clips on the assembly it describes cannot be replaced individually, requiring replacement of the whole shelf; that is not established as a rule for every Samsung model.

Hold the shelf at an angle with its front higher than its back.

Engage the top hook in the upper notch.

Lower the shelf so the bottom hook engages, then check that it sits securely before putting food back on it.

Handle and clean glass safely

Support the shelf while lifting and setting it down; broken glass can cause injury.

Let cold glass reach room temperature before cleaning. Do not put warm or hot water on cold glass; Samsung advises using lukewarm water once the glass has warmed.

For routine shelf and bin cleaning, Samsung Singapore recommends mild detergent in warm water or glass cleaner. Its guidance also notes that freezer shelf lengths can differ, so check your model’s instructions before changing freezer shelf positions.
When to stop and check your model manual
Stop if the shelf looks different, will not release with gentle movement, or seems to require disassembly beyond the instructions for its assembly. Samsung says its removal steps can differ by model and advises checking the user manual when something does not work or look the same. A moving-tray shelf, for example, may be designed to lift from underneath rather than pull from the front; Samsung’s directions for RH62, RS58, and RS62 families apply only to those named families. Find your refrigerator’s specific manual through Samsung’s RH62/RS58/RS62 maintenance guidance or Samsung support.
