There is no universal number of screens A&E says can stream Live TV at the same time. The limit depends on your TV provider and plan, so check that provider’s current rules. A&E’s ability to continue a video across devices is a separate feature and does not establish how many live streams your plan allows.

If you want to watch through the A&E app or website, verify that your provider can authenticate there. Sign-in access and the provider’s simultaneous-stream allowance are separate questions.

A&E lists providers such as Xfinity, Spectrum, Verizon Fios, Cox, Optimum, DirecTV, Dish, and local cable providers, as well as streaming services including Frndly TV, Philo, Sling, Hulu + Live TV, and DirecTV Stream. Provider lineups and terms can change, so confirm current details with the service. A&E says Sling and Frndly TV provide access to A&E shows and live TV but cannot currently be used to sign in to the A&E app or website. A&E’s supported-provider guidance and its streaming-provider guidance describe these distinctions.
What A&E access requires
To unlock provider-authenticated access in the A&E app or on its website, your TV package must include A&E and your provider must be supported for sign-in. A&E lists Live TV viewing through its app on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Roku, Android TV, and Fire TV, and in a browser at play.aetv.com/live. Its support page says Live TV is not available in the A&E app for Samsung TVs. Check A&E’s Live TV access requirements for current device and sign-in details.

Continue watching is not simultaneous streaming
An A&E Profile can support continuing video across supported devices, including web, iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, and Android TV. It is distinct from your TV-provider account, and the profile guidance does not state how many live streams can run at once. In other words, being able to resume video on another device does not tell you whether two screens can play A&E Live simultaneously. See A&E’s profile explanation.
Can you put a phone or tablet stream on a second screen?
Not through the methods A&E identifies as unsupported. A&E says Chromecast casting is unavailable for Live TV from its Android, iPhone, and iPad apps. It also says its app is not compatible with screen mirroring or Digital AV/HDMI and VGA adapters. Use a supported app/device or the browser route instead; do not assume that duplicating a mobile display will work. Where A&E Live is available
A&E says Live TV is available in the United States and is not accessible outside the U.S. Its apps and website are available in the U.S. and Canada, but in Canada playback is on-demand only—not Live TV. App or website availability in Canada therefore does not mean that A&E Live can be watched there. See A&E’s geographic-restriction guidance.
