The OnePlus 13 leans toward a larger listed battery and faster-rated charging; the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra adds a longer-reach 5x optical telephoto, a built-in Privacy Display and Samsung’s stated seven-year security-update commitment. Both are large-screen Android flagships, but the available manufacturer specifications do not establish which has better real-world battery life, photos or performance. For US pricing, Samsung’s 256GB launch MSRP was $1,299.99; a current OnePlus 13 price and a reliable present-day price gap are not established here.

Specifications come from the OnePlus 13 US specifications page, OnePlus’s North American launch announcement, and Samsung’s US Galaxy S26 launch announcement. Configurations and availability can vary by region. Manufacturer specifications and claims are not independent head-to-head test results.

Which phone has the better display?

Samsung lists the larger display: 6.9 inches compared with 6.82 inches on the OnePlus 13. Both are QHD+ panels with refresh rates up to 120Hz. The diagonal figures are the manufacturers’ stated measurements; they do not tell you which phone will feel more comfortable to hold. Samsung also highlights its built-in Privacy Display, a feature OnePlus does not list in the cited specifications. If limiting on-screen visibility is important to you, that is a distinct Samsung feature rather than a difference in resolution or refresh rate.

How do their cameras differ?

The clearest hardware distinction is zoom reach. OnePlus lists one 3x optical telephoto camera alongside its main and ultrawide cameras. Samsung lists both 3x and 5x optical telephoto cameras, giving it a dedicated longer-reach option. This may matter for distant subjects, but camera counts and megapixels alone do not establish which phone takes better photographs.

Samsung’s main camera is listed at 200MP, while OnePlus lists a 50MP main camera. Those figures describe resolution, not overall image quality. The cited manufacturer material does not provide independent, directly comparable camera testing, so a winner for detail, low-light results, portraits or video cannot be established from these specifications alone.

Which has more battery capacity and faster charging?

OnePlus lists a 6,000mAh typical equivalent capacity for its dual-cell battery and specifies an 80W wired and 50W wireless charging system. Its specifications page also gives a rated equivalent capacity of 5,840mAh. Samsung lists 5,000mAh typical capacity, with a rated minimum of 4,855mAh, and says the S26 Ultra can reach 75% charge in around 30 minutes with Super-Fast Charging 3.0. These are manufacturer figures, and charging results depend on the charger, region, settings and conditions.

Capacity and charging ratings do not prove which phone lasts longer between charges or recharges faster in an equivalent real-world test. No comparable independent battery or charging test is established by the cited material. Treat OnePlus’s capacity and charging specifications as attractive on paper, not as a guarantee of longer runtime.

How do performance and software support compare?

The phones use different processor generations: OnePlus lists Snapdragon 8 Elite, while Samsung lists Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy. Samsung also reports up to 19% higher CPU performance, 39% improved NPU performance and a 24% GPU boost for the S26 Ultra. Those are Samsung’s generational claims, not independent measurements against the OnePlus 13, so they should not be read as direct cross-phone benchmark results.

For update longevity, Samsung states that the S26 series receives seven years of security updates. That duration is Samsung’s stated policy; the cited OnePlus specification page does not establish a comparable support period. If long-term security support is a deciding factor, check the applicable regional support terms for each exact model before buying.

What is the price difference?

Samsung announced a US launch MSRP of $1,299.99 for the 256GB Galaxy S26 Ultra in 2026. This is launch-price context, not a check of today’s sale price. A current OnePlus 13 US transaction price is not established by the cited sources, so a present-day dollar difference cannot be calculated reliably.

To compare prices before purchasing, use the same country, storage capacity and sales conditions for both phones. Label whether each figure is a regular price, a discount or an offer tied to a trade-in or carrier plan; a discounted price for one phone is not directly comparable to the other phone’s MSRP. Samsung’s launch announcement also described a time-limited offer, which should not be treated as currently available.

Which phone should you choose?

  • Choose the OnePlus 13 if its listed 6,000mAh typical equivalent battery capacity, 80W wired charging or 50W wireless charging best fits your priorities, and you do not need a dedicated 5x optical telephoto.
  • Choose the Galaxy S26 Ultra if you want a listed 5x optical telephoto in addition to 3x, Samsung’s built-in Privacy Display, or its stated seven-year security-update commitment.
  • Compare both in person if screen size and comfort are central to your decision. Both have large displays, and the Samsung’s listed diagonal is 0.08 inches larger.
  • Wait to compare current offers if value is the deciding factor. Match storage and market, then compare live prices rather than treating a launch MSRP as today’s price.
