Hosting.com cPanel hosting is worth considering if you specifically want the familiar cPanel dashboard and the selected plan’s limits and renewal cost fit your needs. Hosting.com advertises NVMe storage, LiteSpeed, daily backups, email, security features, migration assistance, and 24/7 support, but those are company claims—not independently verified performance or support results. Its displayed $3.99-per-month starting price is promotional; check the exact renewal price and account limits for your region and billing term before buying.
What Hosting.com cPanel hosting provides
Hosting.com describes cPanel hosting as web hosting managed from the cPanel control panel, where customers can manage files, domains, email, and databases in one dashboard. The company says its cPanel hosting can serve any stack or content management system, while its separate WordPress hosting is tuned for WordPress. Hosting.com’s cPanel hosting page is the source for these product details.
The company page also reports that it hosts more than 3 million websites worldwide. That is a vendor-reported figure, not an independently audited count.

#1 Best Overall
- Storage and web server: NVMe SSD storage and LiteSpeed.
- Databases and email: unlimited MariaDB databases and unlimited domain-based email.
- Backups: daily backups and one-click restores for any point in the previous 30 days.
- Analytics: integrated analytics.
- Security: SSL, a web application firewall (WAF), brute-force protection, malware scanning, DDoS mitigation, and encrypted SFTP.
Hosting.com also advertises free migration of websites, email, and domains. It says cPanel accounts can often be migrated through backup and restore. The company offers support via chat, phone, or ticket, and says its in-house experts are available 24/7/365. These are descriptions of the provider’s offer; independent migration results and support response-time data are not established here.
What it costs—and what to check at renewal
At the time of the product-page information retrieved in 2026, Hosting.com displayed a starting price of US$3.99 per month, a crossed-out reference price of US$14.99, and a “save up to 73%” promotion. It also advertised a free domain for the first year on qualifying annual plans and a 30-day money-back guarantee. These are vendor-displayed terms, not a universal quote. Confirm the selected market, plan, billing period, taxes, domain eligibility, and guarantee conditions at checkout. Check the current cPanel offer.
Hosting.com says promotional savings apply during a prepaid period and plans renew at regular pricing afterward. Its renewal-pricing information does not provide a clear current, plan-by-plan cPanel renewal quote, so there is no reliable renewal figure to cite here. Check the renewal amount for the exact plan and term before placing an order. Hosting.com’s renewal-pricing page provides the company’s general renewal information.

For a meaningful cost comparison, calculate the total due for the initial prepaid period and the price when that period ends. A low introductory monthly equivalent does not establish what you will pay at renewal.

Does Hosting.com still offer cPanel?
In a company update dated May 13, 2025, Hosting.com said it was not removing cPanel while developing a separate Hosting Panel. That is a dated statement, not a guarantee of future product availability or plan terms. Read the company’s May 2025 update.
The same update said a price adjustment had been made in September 2024 and affected existing customers at renewal. It also said invoices are issued 14 days before renewal. Check your current account and plan terms rather than assuming the dated announcement describes today’s pricing.

Check account limits and backups before choosing a plan
cPanel is supplied by a third party, and Hosting.com’s terms say the license type and number of cPanel accounts depend on the hosting plan. Additional accounts may require an upgrade or separate purchase, and the terms allow restrictions on control-panel use in some circumstances. If you manage client sites or need separate cPanel accounts, verify the allowance and licensing arrangement for your exact plan in the current terms and checkout.

The product-page information does not establish every tier’s website, storage, or other resource limits. Before committing, confirm the specifics for the plan you intend to buy rather than assuming that “unlimited” database or email wording means all resources are unlimited.
Best Value
Hosting.com advertises daily backups and restores from the previous 30 days. Confirm the selected plan’s backup schedule, retention, and restore conditions. For important sites, do not treat a host’s backup feature as a substitute for keeping an independent backup.

A good fit
Consider it if you need cPanel, want vendor-managed shared hosting, and can verify that the plan’s account limits, renewal cost, and included features suit your workload. The value depends on those plan-specific details, not just the introductory price or feature list.
Consider another type of hosting if your needs differ
- You mainly need managed WordPress: compare Hosting.com’s WordPress-specific offer, which the company distinguishes from cPanel hosting.
- You need dedicated resources or root access: compare VPS plans rather than assuming shared cPanel hosting provides those capabilities.
- You manage multiple client accounts: confirm the plan’s cPanel account count, license type, and any extra-account cost before moving sites.
How to compare your options
Use the same checklist for Hosting.com and any alternatives, and base the comparison on the exact plans and billing terms available to you:
- Compare the full initial-term cost with the renewal price, including taxes and any domain charges.
- Check the number of websites and cPanel accounts included, plus the cost or requirements for additional accounts.
- Review storage and other resource limits for each tier.
- Confirm backup frequency, retention, and the conditions for restoring a site.
- Check server location against the locations of your visitors.
- Verify what migration assistance covers and which support channels are available.
Hosting.com’s public product information does not show every tier’s resource limits or a clear current renewal price for each cPanel plan. Those details need to be confirmed in the live plan selector and checkout.
What the available evidence can—and cannot—show
The feature list, advertised price, support and migration descriptions, and cPanel continuity statement come from Hosting.com itself. The available information does not establish independent measurements of Hosting.com cPanel hosting speed or uptime, verified migration outcomes, or customer-support response times. This review therefore assesses the advertised offer and the checks a buyer should make; it does not claim hands-on testing.
