Held Items reportedly unlock at the Student III title. Once available, equip one from Aniimo Management → select an Aniimo → Training → Held Item, then choose an item and confirm. These are guide-reported steps rather than official documentation, so check the live client if a label or requirement differs.
When do Held Items unlock in Aniimo?
A Daily Aniimo guide dated September 20, 2026, reports that the feature unlocks at the Student III title. It says players must clear the Elite Training Core Courses, level up, and pass Dr. Lewis’s Theory Test. The guide is unofficial, and no official developer documentation was available to confirm the exact sequence; treat Student III as a reported requirement, not a guaranteed current milestone. Read the guide.
How to equip a Held Item
- Open Aniimo Management. The Daily Aniimo guide reports that P opens this menu on PC.
- Select the Aniimo you want to equip.
- Open Training, then choose the Held Item tab.
- Select an item and confirm. The guides describe one Held Item slot per Aniimo.
If the Aniimo refuses the selected item, Daily Aniimo says it must accept that pairing. Try another item rather than assuming the feature is still locked.
What equipping does—and what a contract changes
Equipping and contracting are separate mechanics. AniimoEggs reports that an equipped item’s stats apply immediately; a contract is needed for the associated core-skill enhancement. See its Held Items guide. Aniimo.guide reproduces tutorial text stating: “After forming a contract, any [Aniimo] equipped with this Held Item will receive a core skill enhancement.” The bracketed term is part of the guide’s reproduced wording, not a specific species name. See the tutorial-text guide.

Enhancement, item naming, and investment
Some screens or guides use Carried Item for a Held Item. Daily Aniimo describes enhancing items with spare items or Held Item Cores. It also reports that a Legendary item at level 15 unlocks a Tier 2 effect and the Contract option, and that contracts are species-specific and bind the item to a species. These thresholds and binding details are guide-reported mechanics; check the current client for the available options and costs before investing.
Choose an item for the Aniimo’s role and combat rotation, not from a universal “best item” list. AniimoVerse recommends weighing the base effect, core effect, enhancement level, and whether the effect’s trigger fits the Aniimo’s rotation. Its guidance is role- and species-dependent, so the best fit varies by Aniimo and playstyle. Read the item-selection guide.
