Halloween: The Game has three reported escape routes in its final chapter: sewer, railroad, and cornfield. Each route leads to its own escape cutscene, but the guides describe the same broad story outcome—Michael gets away. You do not need to complete all three routes to finish the campaign.
What “all endings” means in Halloween: The Game
The campaign has six chapters, including the prologue, according to Into Indie Games. The three endings discussed in guides are alternative escape routes in the final chapter, not three substantially different conclusions to the story. The escape cutscene changes with the route, while the overall outcome remains the same.
AllThingsHow says there is no requirement or challenge that asks you to collect all three routes. A route-specific cutscene indicates that the escape registered.
How to get the sewer escape
- At the final chapter’s escape sequence, head toward the northern area and follow the on-screen sewer escape prompt.
- Continue west and then north toward the fenced entrance. Guides describe police officers along the way, so keep moving rather than stopping to engage.
- At the sewer entrance, pry it open to trigger the route’s escape cutscene.
The sewer route is described by Into Indie Games; reaching and interacting with the entrance is the key step.

How to get the railroad escape
- Move toward the left, or northwest, portion of the final area and follow the railroad escape objective toward the tracks.
- Enter the red-lit trigger area before the train timer expires. If you arrive too late, the escape may not complete.
The timer is the main practical risk on this route: prioritize reaching the marked area over exploring or taking detours. Both Into Indie Games and AllThingsHow describe the track approach and its timing constraint.
How to get the cornfield escape
- Guides report that the cornfield route begins soon after the chapter starts. Head right and slightly north, following the field escape prompt.
- Continue into the cornfield when the route marker directs you there; avoid drifting back toward the center of the area.
Treat the on-screen prompt as the best guide for this route. Destructoid reports the right-and-north approach but says its writer had not personally triggered the route. Into Indie Games also warns that an update may have changed observed trigger behavior; the sources do not identify a specific patch, and the directions should therefore be read as reported guidance rather than a guaranteed trigger.

Which route should you choose?
| Route | Reported approach | Main thing to watch |
|---|---|---|
| Sewer | Go north to the prompt, then west and north to the fenced entrance; pry it open. | Police officers can interrupt progress; reach and interact with the entrance. |
| Railroad | Stay left or northwest, reach the tracks, and enter the red-lit area. | Beat the train timer; arriving late can block the escape. |
| Cornfield | Head right and slightly north early, follow the field prompt, and enter the corn. | The reported trigger is less certain; follow the on-screen prompt and avoid returning toward the center. |
The sewer and railroad directions are reported by more than one guide. Cornfield directions are less certain: Destructoid explicitly notes that its writer did not personally trigger that route, and Into Indie Games flags possible update-related variability.

Do you need to unlock all three?
No. AllThingsHow says completing one escape route is enough to finish the game; there is no challenge requiring all three. If you want to see each route’s cutscene, replay the final chapter and pursue a different escape prompt.
