TechSmith also lists a standalone Assets for Snagit subscription at $49.99 per user per year, and says Assets is included with Create and Pro. That price and inclusion are publisher-stated and may change. TechSmith’s Assets explanation describes the service as a library of premium royalty-free assets.

Choose Individual for personal, single-user use
Individual is the lowest listed standard price in the US store: $39 yearly when checked. It is tied to one person and cannot be transferred. The subscription provides access to current features and versions while it remains active.

Choose Create or Pro for bundled content and sharing
Create adds premium images, templates, and AI-generated visuals to Snagit. Pro includes Create and adds unlimited Screencast sharing. Compare the live checkout prices with the value of those additions; the cited comparison does not state prices for either tier.
Choose a Business license when the seat must be managed differently
TechSmith identifies transfer, purchasing for another person or multiple people, and offline activation as reasons to use a Business license rather than an Individual subscription. Its support page describes business licensing as per-user with a software key. Check the license terms and quote for the number of users and activation needs involved.
Ask about volume or enterprise terms for an organization
TechSmith says volume discounts begin at 10 subscriptions. Site-license and multi-year arrangements are custom; TechSmith describes site-license benefits as including centralized management and a three-year price lock. Request a quote for the organization’s seat count, deployment, and term rather than extrapolating from the Individual price.
Who qualifies for Snagit education pricing?
The education store lists educators at $39.36 per user per year and verified full-time students at $20 per year. Those are separate offers, not a universal education price.
- Educators: The license is transferable and limited to accredited institutions.
- Students: The subscription is individual and non-transferable; the listed student offer is for the US, UK, and Canada.
Eligibility details are set out by TechSmith’s education discount policy. Confirm that your role, institution, and country qualify before relying on the education-store price.
Does Snagit have a monthly plan?
No. TechSmith says Snagit subscriptions are billed annually and does not offer monthly subscriptions for Snagit. Screencast is a separate service, and TechSmith says monthly billing is available for it; that does not make Snagit a monthly plan. TechSmith’s monthly-subscription FAQ was updated June 10, 2026.
