Samsung does not document a built-in setting for choosing a different system charging animation. You can adjust how charging information appears, and a third-party app may offer a separate charging-screen effect, but that is not necessarily the same as replacing Samsung’s charging indicator. Good Lock’s documented tools cover notification effects and animated wallpapers—not a charging-animation switch.
What Samsung’s charging indicator shows
First check your phone’s One UI version in Settings, usually under About phone and Software information. In One UI 7, Samsung redesigned the charging indicator: the home-screen charging icon was replaced by a battery-capacity number, and the lock-screen charging icon moved to the bottom of the screen. Samsung describes this as an interface change, not an option for selecting a different animation. Feature availability can vary by model and software version. See Samsung India’s One UI 7 charging-icon guidance and Samsung Gulf’s guidance for One UI 7 or later.
Samsung India Support says that “In One UI 7, the Charging Icon or image has been redesigned to enhance usability and provide more detailed information during charging.” That describes the redesigned indicator; it does not establish that users can choose a replacement animation.

Samsung documents a Show charging information control for displaying the battery level and estimated time until the battery is full on the lock screen. The exact menu path varies across models and software versions. On some One UI 7 devices, the route is Settings → Lock screen and AOD → Always On Display; enable the charging-information option if it appears, then choose when Always On Display should show. If those labels are missing, search Settings for “charging information” or consult the instructions for your model rather than assuming the same path applies to every Galaxy phone.

Does Good Lock change the charging animation?
Samsung’s Good Lock feature descriptions cover several kinds of interface customization, but the cited features do not provide a documented control for replacing the system charging animation. Edge Lighting+ adds notification visuals, while Wonderland creates animated lock- and home-screen wallpapers. Those effects may change what you see on the screen, but they are not documented as substitutes for the charging indicator. Samsung describes these tools in its Good Lock feature overview.

Can a third-party app add a charging screen?
A Galaxy Store listing for a third-party app named Charging Animation advertises charging-screen effects, custom themes, a battery-full alert, and charging information. These are the seller’s listing claims, not independently verified results or a guarantee that the app works on every Galaxy phone. The cited listing is a regional UZB store page; availability and compatibility may differ in your region and on your device. Check the current Galaxy Store listing before installing.
