The right wireless mouse under $100 depends on how it fits your hand and what you play—not just its sensor headline. The Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED is the straightforward budget-style choice; the rechargeable G305 X SUPERLIGHT targets performance, the Razer Basilisk V3 X HyperSpeed adds a larger right-handed shape and Bluetooth, and the Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE is built around MMO/MOBA buttons. Prices change by region and seller, so confirm the exact model’s current price before buying.
How to choose a wireless mouse for gaming and everyday work
Start with fit, then consider weight, connection, battery design, and button layout. A mouse that suits your grip and the games you play is usually more useful than one chosen solely for a maximum DPI figure.
- Hand size and grip: Small shapes can be uncomfortable for larger hands, particularly in palm or claw grips. Try to match the mouse’s dimensions and contours to how you naturally hold it.
- Wireless connection: A USB receiver is the relevant mode for gaming-focused use. Bluetooth can be convenient for casual use or switching between devices, but check which connection you will actually use.
- Weight: Lighter mice generally take less effort to move quickly. A heavier mouse may still suit a larger shape or many programmable buttons, but is less compelling for fast, frequent movements.
- Battery: Decide whether you prefer replaceable batteries or a rechargeable internal battery. Manufacturer battery-life claims are not the same as independently measured results.
- Buttons and software: Extra buttons can help with MMO/MOBA bindings and productivity shortcuts, but their placement and any software or onboard-storage requirements matter.
- Local price: The available evidence does not establish that every model below is currently under $100 in every market. Check the exact model, seller, shipping, and tax against your own budget.
Which wireless mouse fits each use case?
| Mouse | Best fit | Key trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED | Simple, budget-oriented gaming and everyday use | Small egg-shaped design; receiver-only wireless; uses one AA battery |
| Logitech G305 X SUPERLIGHT | Rechargeable performance in an egg-shaped design | Do not assume it meets the price limit; optional 8000 Hz receiver is not included |
| Razer Basilisk V3 X HyperSpeed | Larger right-handed ergonomic shape and Bluetooth option | 113.8 g listed weight makes it a less obvious choice for fast, low-effort movement |
| SteelSeries Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2 | A mid-range alternative to investigate | Check current price and the full review before treating it as a firm pick |
| Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE | MMO/MOBA players who need many bindings | 16 buttons and 161 g listed weight; specialized rather than lightweight |
| Logitech G703 LIGHTSPEED | Consider if a current local listing fits the budget | Current under-$100 price is not established; POWERPLAY system sold separately |
Best simple budget-style option: Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED
The G305 LIGHTSPEED is a sensible starting point if you want a relatively simple wireless mouse and do not need Bluetooth or a rechargeable internal battery. It connects through a USB receiver and runs on one AA battery. Logitech advertises up to 250 hours of battery life; that is the manufacturer’s claim, not an independent test.
Its small, ambidextrous egg shape is the main fit caveat. RTINGS notes that larger hands may find it too small for palm or claw grip, while fingertip grip can work for a wider range of hand sizes. The design is familiar and uncomplicated, but its size may be a poor match if you want a broad palm-filling shape. Check the current listing price rather than assuming an older model will always fall below your limit.

Best rechargeable egg-shaped option: Logitech G305 X SUPERLIGHT
The G305 X SUPERLIGHT keeps the familiar egg-shaped approach but uses a rechargeable internal battery rather than the original G305’s replaceable AA. RTINGS’ review, published July 7, 2026, describes improved performance over the predecessor. Its default polling rate is 1000 Hz; an 8000 Hz receiver is supported optionally but is not included. RTINGS says the practical impact of that higher polling option is minimal for most users, so it should not be the deciding factor for most buyers.
This is a candidate to consider if you want the design and rechargeable convenience, but the evidence does not establish that it is under $100 in your market. Verify the price of the exact version before treating it as a match for this budget.

Best larger ergonomic shape with Bluetooth: Razer Basilisk V3 X HyperSpeed
The Basilisk V3 X HyperSpeed is the clearest fit here for someone who prefers a larger, ergonomic right-handed mouse and wants both receiver and Bluetooth connectivity. RTINGS positions it as a budget recommendation and lists its weight as 113.8 g. That weight is a meaningful compromise if you prioritize quick, low-effort movements, but its shape and Bluetooth option may better suit mixed gaming and general computer use.
Choose it for the shape and connection flexibility, not because a high sensitivity specification guarantees better control. Confirm the current local price before purchase.

Best for MMO/MOBA bindings: Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE
The Scimitar Elite Wireless SE is the specialized option for players who want a large number of accessible commands on the mouse. PC Gamer lists 16 buttons and a weight of 161 g, positioning it for MMO/MOBA play. Those same traits make it a less natural pick for lightweight shooter use or for buyers who want a simple, nimble everyday mouse.
Consider it when the button layout solves a real in-game need. Its fit for this price guide still depends on the current listing in your region.

Other candidates to check before deciding
SteelSeries Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2
Tom’s Guide calls the Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2 a mid-range option and reports more than 120 hours of battery life at a 1,000 Hz polling rate. Treat that as the guide’s reported figure, not a guarantee for every configuration or use pattern, and verify the manufacturer’s current specification and local price. The available evidence does not justify a firm award here.

Logitech specifies a HERO 25K sensor and a maximum sensitivity range of 100–25,600 DPI for the G703 LIGHTSPEED. It is also compatible with POWERPLAY, but Logitech sells the POWERPLAY system separately. The current price is not established, so consider this model only if a current local listing fits your budget.

What the specifications do—and do not—tell you
DPI describes sensitivity settings; a higher maximum is not, by itself, evidence of better real-world control. Polling rate is another specification, but the G305 X SUPERLIGHT review illustrates why the maximum is not always a useful buying target: it defaults to 1000 Hz, and RTINGS says most users will see minimal practical impact from the optional 8000 Hz receiver.
For a mixed gaming and productivity mouse, prioritize comfortable shape, usable connection modes, sensible weight, and buttons you will actually use. Before checkout, compare the exact model’s price with your total-cost limit, including shipping and tax if those count toward your $100 ceiling.
