Samsung lists a Fold8-specific anti-reflecting film, while several third-party products are named in a published roundup. The available evidence does not establish ten products through comparable testing, so this guide explains the verifiable option and how to assess the other named leads without presenting them as tested winners.
What should you know about the Fold8 screens?
Samsung’s U.S. launch information gives the cover screen as 5.5 inches and the main screen as 7.6 inches, measured diagonally. Samsung notes that rounded corners and the camera hole make the viewable area smaller. The same announcement said general availability would begin August 7, 2026. Samsung Newsroom U.S.
Those displays have different protection needs: the cover is an exterior screen, while the main screen folds. Do not assume that a rigid cover-screen glass protector is suitable for the inner display. Check the exact product listing to see which screen or screens its pieces are intended to cover.

Samsung UK lists this anti-reflecting film as designed exclusively for Galaxy Z Fold8 and says it is not compatible with other Galaxy models. Samsung describes the package as containing two films and an installation kit with dust-removal stickers, a microfiber cleaner, a squeegee, an applicator, and a guide. Samsung also cautions that a cover-screen case with a display opening smaller than the film can interfere with it. The film may lift, peel, or fail to adhere properly. Check the fit between the case and protector before installation, particularly around the screen edges.

How do you choose a protector for your Fold8?
- Choose the screen first. Confirm whether the protector is for the cover display, the foldable main display, or both. A set’s piece count alone does not tell you what each piece covers.
- Confirm exact model compatibility. Look for Galaxy Z Fold8 in the current manufacturer listing. Samsung says its film is Fold8-only, illustrating why fit should not be inferred from another Fold generation.
