For India-market versions, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G brings a larger display, higher stated peak brightness, a higher-capacity battery, and a longer support commitment on Xiaomi’s product page. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G counters with 120W charging, a listed macro camera, and LPDDR5/UFS 3.1 storage. Neither phone is an automatic winner: the right choice depends on which trade-offs matter and what equivalent-storage models cost where you buy.

This comparison uses Xiaomi’s India-market specifications. Configurations, network support, prices, software availability, and box contents can vary by country, so check the exact local model before buying.

A larger display, with higher stated peak brightness
The Note 15 Pro+ grows from 6.67 inches to 6.83 inches, while both phones are listed with up to 120Hz refresh rates. Xiaomi gives the newer phone a 3200-nit peak-brightness figure, compared with 1800 nits for the Note 13 Pro+. The pages do not establish that these brightness figures use the same measurement conditions, so they should not be treated as a direct, standardized result. The Note 15 Pro+ also moves from Gorilla Glass Victus to Victus 2.

A different camera mix, not a proven image-quality win
Both phones have a 200MP stabilized main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide. The Note 13 Pro+ lists a 2MP macro camera, which is absent from the Note 15 Pro+ specification list. The newer model has a higher-resolution 32MP front camera, versus 16MP on the older phone. Xiaomi lists rear 4K video at 24/30fps on the Note 13 Pro+ and at 30fps on the Note 15 Pro+. These hardware and recording specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos or video.
New processor, but no measured speed comparison
The Note 13 Pro+ uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7200-Ultra and specifies LPDDR5 memory with UFS 3.1 storage. The Note 15 Pro+ lists Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, without the same memory and storage specification in the comparison material. There is no comparable benchmark evidence here to name a performance winner; sustained speed can’t be inferred from processor names alone.

More stated battery capacity, lower charging wattage
Xiaomi lists a typical 6500mAh battery and a 100W in-box charger for the Note 15 Pro+, against 5000mAh and 120W HyperCharge for the Note 13 Pro+. The newer model has the larger stated capacity, while the older model has the higher charging-wattage claim. Capacity and charger wattage are not battery-life or charging-time test results, and no controlled endurance comparison is established.
More ingress ratings and a longer stated update period
Xiaomi lists IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K for the Note 15 Pro+, while the Note 13 Pro+ is listed as IP68. The newer model’s glass is also specified as Gorilla Glass Victus 2 rather than Victus. These ratings refer to test conditions; Xiaomi cautions that protection can degrade and that liquid damage outside the stated conditions may not be covered. They are not a reason to deliberately submerge either phone.

On software, Xiaomi’s product pages state 3 Android updates and 4 years of security patches for the Note 13 Pro+, and 4 OS updates plus 6 years of security updates for the Note 15 Pro+. Treat these as manufacturer commitments, and check the rollout and support information applicable to your market.
How much is the price difference?
A like-for-like current price difference cannot be established from the available India listings. On October 7, 2026, Xiaomi India’s store listed the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G Carbon Black with 8GB/256GB at ₹39,999, alongside a crossed-out reference price of ₹49,999. That is a volatile store listing, not a guaranteed transaction price. A matched current Note 13 Pro+ price was not available, so subtracting a historical or unmatched price would give a misleading gap. Check both phones at the same time, in the same country, and with the same storage capacity before comparing totals.

Which phone should you choose?
Consider the Note 15 Pro+ if these matter most
- A larger 6.83-inch screen and a higher stated peak-brightness figure.
- A higher-rated battery capacity on paper.
- The listed eSIM option, where local carrier and device support allow it.
- Xiaomi’s longer stated software-support period for this model.
- The newer model’s published ingress-protection ratings and Victus 2 glass.
The Note 13 Pro+ may fit better if these matter most
- Its listed 120W charging specification rather than the newer phone’s 100W in-box charger.
- The specified LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage pairing.
- A listed 2MP macro camera.
- A verified lower local price for the same storage tier, if one is available.
Before deciding, compare current prices for equivalent storage, verify warranty and network-band compatibility for your location, and confirm the exact package contents. For real-world performance, camera output, and endurance, seek independent tests of the specific regional models; Xiaomi’s specification pages do not settle those comparisons.
