To add metadata in AI Builder manual mode, open the page’s SEO settings, enter text in SEO title and Meta description, then update the website to publish your changes. Hostinger recommends keeping the title to 60 symbols and the description to 160 symbols, including spaces.
Set the SEO title and meta description for a standard page

Open your website in the builder’s manual mode.

Open SEO settings. You can select it from the builder, or use Pages and navigation, open the relevant page’s settings, and select SEO settings. See Hostinger’s manual-mode instructions and its page SEO settings guide.

Find the page you want to edit and enter your text in SEO title and Meta description.

Update the website to publish the changes.
Hostinger’s guidance is to use up to 60 symbols for the SEO title and up to 160 for the meta description; spaces count. Treat these as recommendations, not guarantees about how a search engine will display the text.

Choose manual entry or AI assistance
Manual entry lets you write and control both fields yourself. The AI SEO Assistant is an alternative: provide your business or brand name, a short description of the page, and preferred keywords, then review the suggested metadata before applying it. The builder’s editor AI assistant can also be asked to update page SEO metadata. These options are described in the page SEO settings guide and AI tools guide.
Check whether the page type uses a different route
Product pages
Product pages have a separate SEO panel. Open Online store, choose Product Pages, open the product’s ellipsis menu, and select SEO settings. The panel includes title and description fields as well as URL, keywords, and search visibility settings. For details, see Hostinger’s product page SEO guide.

Blog posts
A blog post’s title and description are used automatically as its meta title and meta description. To change them, edit the post’s settings, save, and update the website. See the blog post SEO instructions.
Know where metadata changes appear
After the website is updated, Hostinger says the new metadata appears immediately in browser tabs. Search results may take a few days to a few weeks to reflect changes while search engines recrawl and evaluate the page; that is Hostinger’s guidance, not a guaranteed timeline for every search engine or page. Google Search Console can be used to request indexing or submit a sitemap to prompt discovery, but neither guarantees an immediate search-result update.

SEO fields are not the same as social sharing previews. Changing them does not guarantee that a social platform will refresh an existing title, description, or preview image; Hostinger directs readers to separate social-preview troubleshooting for those issues.

If the old title persists after those checks, contact support.

Search results still show old metadata
Search engines control when they recrawl and reassess pages, so an updated site may not produce an immediate result change. You can request indexing or submit a sitemap through Google Search Console to help prompt discovery, but search-result updates are not assured on a fixed schedule.
