In Hostinger AI Builder manual mode, you can add a PDF as a downloadable file or display it inside a page. For a download link, upload the PDF to the site’s media library and connect it to a menu item, button, text link, or image. For an inline display, copy the PDF’s iframe embed code from Google Drive and paste it into an embed-code element. Publish the site, then check the result in Preview or a private browser window.
Choose how visitors should use the PDF
| Option | What visitors see | Where the PDF is stored | Setup |
|---|---|---|---|
| Download link | A menu item, button, text link, or image that visitors click to download the PDF | Your website’s media library | Set the link target to File download and select the PDF. |
| Inline embed | The PDF displayed on the page | Google Drive | Copy the PDF’s iframe code and paste it into an embed code element. |
These are the two methods in the PDF instructions for manual mode. Choose a download link when visitors should open or save the file from a control; use an embed when you want the document visible on the page.

Add a downloadable PDF
- Open the manual-mode editor and upload the PDF to the website’s media library. If it is already uploaded, select that file.
- Choose where visitors should access it, then set that element’s destination to File download and select the PDF.
- Save the change if prompted, then update or publish the website.
Attach the download to a menu item
Open Pages and navigation, add a link, choose File download, and select the PDF.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteAttach the download to a button
Edit the button, choose File download as its action, and select the PDF.
#1 Best Overall
Make text or an image clickable
For text, select the words you want visitors to click, open the link control, choose File download, and select the PDF. For an image, edit its action, choose Open link, set the destination to File download, and select the file. The manual-mode file-upload guide documents these link options.
Display the PDF on the page
- Upload the PDF to Google Drive and open it.
- Open the PDF’s three-dot menu and choose Open in new window.
- In the new window, open the three-dot menu again, choose Embed item…, and copy the iframe code.
- In the website editor, add an embed code element where you want the PDF to appear, then paste the iframe code.
- Adjust the iframe’s width and height or resize the embed element in the editor. The PDF-specific guide shows
width="640"andheight="480"as adjustable examples, not required or universally responsive dimensions. - Update or publish the website, then check the display in Preview or on the live site.
Embedding does not by itself establish that every visitor can access a restricted Drive file. Check the PDF’s sharing and access settings for the audience you intend to serve.
Publish and verify the result
A manual-mode project remains a private draft until its first publication. Use the editor’s publish or update action to make your changes available online; the manual-mode publishing guide explains the publication flow.
Embedded code may not render inside the editor canvas. The custom-code instructions recommend checking Preview or the live site instead. After an update, allow a few minutes for it to appear, then open the page in a private or incognito window to test what visitors see.

- The embed is missing in the editor: Check Preview or the published page; custom code may not appear in the editor itself.
- The embed is missing after publication: Confirm the iframe code is present, wait a few minutes, and clear your browser cache. If it still does not appear, contact the platform that supplied the widget code.
- The embedded content uses an HTTP address: Use HTTPS where possible. The custom-code guide warns that browsers often block insecure HTTP links.
- Visitors cannot open the PDF: Review the file’s Google Drive sharing and access settings for the intended audience. The PDF instructions do not establish a single permission setting that guarantees access for every visitor.
The file-upload guide lists file types blocked for security reasons and does not list .pdf among them. That does not establish every account-specific upload limit.
