The India-market realme P3 Pro steps up to a larger, sharper screen, a higher-tier listed chipset, optical image stabilization on its main camera and 80 W charging. The realme P3 keeps the same 120 Hz refresh rate and 6000 mAh headline battery capacity, while using a 6.67-inch AMOLED display and 45 W charging. Which is the better buy depends on the exact variant and seller price—not the model names alone.

How the display and performance differ
The Pro has the larger, higher-resolution screen
Both phones list 120 Hz displays, so the refresh-rate headline is not a reason by itself to choose the Pro. Its 6.83-inch 1.5K panel is larger and has more pixels than the P3’s 6.67-inch AMOLED screen. That may matter if you prioritize screen size and resolution; the supplied specifications do not establish a measured difference in brightness, color accuracy or outdoor visibility.
The chipsets are different tiers, but specs are not a speed test
realme lists the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 in the P3 Pro and Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 in the P3. These identify different chipset tiers, but they do not establish how much faster either phone feels in everyday use, gaming or sustained workloads. No independent performance test is available here, so avoid treating promotional benchmark figures as comparative test results.

Camera: the P3 Pro adds main-camera OIS
The P3 Pro’s official specifications name a 50 MP Sony IMX896 main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). A third-party comparison listing identifies the P3’s main camera as 50 MP and does not list OIS. OIS is a hardware distinction that can help counter small camera movements, but megapixel count and stabilization alone do not prove which phone produces better overall photos or video.
Battery capacity and charging
Both models are listed with a 6000 mAh battery. realme gives the P3 Pro’s capacity as 6000 mAh typical and 5860 mAh rated; the P3 page lists 6000 mAh. The Pro supports 80 W wired charging, compared with 45 W for the P3. Those ratings show the difference in stated charging power, not how long a full charge takes under particular conditions. The specifications do not establish which phone lasts longer in real-world use.

Water resistance: understand the stated limits
realme lists IP69, IP68 and IP66 claims for both phones, but the stated IP68 conditions differ: up to 1.5 m for 30 minutes for the P3 Pro and up to 2.5 m for 30 minutes for the P3. These are manufacturer-stated test conditions, not advice to submerge a phone. realme warns on both product pages: “The device’s water and dust resistance is not permanent and may diminish over time because of normal wear and tear.” The company also excludes immersion damage from warranty coverage.

Price difference: check the exact listing
At the checked third-party listings, the P3 was ₹15,999 on both comparison pages. The P3 Pro was ₹17,999 on Smartprix, whose page reported its details last updated October 5, 2026, and ₹20,999 on 91mobiles when observed October 7, 2026. That makes the displayed gap ₹2,000–₹5,000 in those snapshots, but the disagreement means it is not a dependable current price range. Neither figure is established here as an official MRP or an Amazon offer.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which realme phone should you choose?
Choose the P3 Pro if its upgrades justify the price for you
- You want the larger 6.83-inch, 1.5K screen.
- You prefer the P3 Pro’s listed Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, while recognizing that the specifications do not quantify real-world speed.
- You value OIS on the main camera as a hardware feature.
- You want the higher listed wired-charging power of 80 W.
Choose the P3 if its lower observed price and shared features matter more
- You are satisfied with a 6.67-inch 120 Hz AMOLED display.
- You want a listed 6000 mAh battery and do not need the Pro’s 80 W charging rating.
- You find the P3 at a meaningfully lower price for the same storage variant and seller conditions.
- The P3’s stated IP68 depth condition is relevant to your comparison, but it should not be taken as permission to deliberately immerse the phone.
For the India-market models, the P3 Pro is the higher-spec choice on the cited display, chipset, OIS and charging details. The P3 remains a plausible value pick when its verified like-for-like price is lower and those Pro upgrades are not priorities. The available specifications do not establish a categorical winner for camera quality, real-world speed or battery life.
