The vivo T4x 5G is the stronger on-paper choice if you need 5G, a sharper 120Hz display, faster charging, or more memory and storage options. The vivo T5e is a 4G phone with a lower listed price and a dedicated microSD slot. On October 7, 2026, vivo India’s E-Store listings differed by ₹5,500, but the T4x listing was marked unavailable and the phones had different memory configurations.

These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not comparative test results. Refresh rate may not apply in every T4x scenario, and actual 5G access depends on the carrier and local network deployment. vivo says T4x performance can vary with software version and test environment. See vivo India’s T4x 5G specifications and T5e specifications. Specifications may vary with production, components, and measurement conditions, so confirm the exact retail variant.
What the specification differences mean
Network and processor
The T4x is the option to consider if 5G is a requirement. The T5e’s official specification page lists 4G, not 5G. The processor names and manufacturing processes differ, but those details alone do not establish how fast either phone feels in everyday use; no comparative benchmark is available here.

Screen
The T4x lists a 2408×1080 display and refresh rates up to 120Hz, compared with the T5e’s 1600×720 resolution and 90Hz. That gives the T4x the more detailed, higher-refresh specification on paper. The T5e’s screen is marginally larger at 6.74 inches versus 6.72 inches. Brightness figures are manufacturer-listed HBM values, not a guarantee of identical visibility in every setting.

Memory and storage
The T4x offers three listed RAM-and-storage combinations, up to 8GB+256GB. The T5e has a single listed 4GB+64GB configuration, but its dedicated microSD slot supports expansion up to 2TB. vivo does not list expandable internal storage for the T4x. A memory card can add space for compatible files, but it does not change the phone’s listed RAM or onboard storage configuration.
Battery and charging
The T4x has a larger listed battery and supports charging up to 44W; its 6500mAh figure is typical capacity, while rated capacity is 6360mAh. The T5e lists 5500mAh and up to 15W charging with vivo’s official standard charger. Charging power can vary: vivo says T4x power is adjusted dynamically, while T5e charging depends on scenario and environment. These figures do not predict actual battery runtime.

The T4x lists higher camera pixel counts: a 50MP main and 2MP bokeh rear camera, plus an 8MP front camera. The T5e lists an 8MP rear and 5MP front camera. Megapixel counts do not establish which phone takes better photos; the official specifications do not provide comparative image-quality measurements. The listed software versions also differ: Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15 on T4x, and Android 16 with OriginOS 6.0 on T5e.

Both phones carry an IP64 rating. vivo describes this protection as subject to wear rather than permanent; IP64 should not be read as permission to submerge a phone. vivo’s T5e page says liquid-ingress damage is not covered by warranty. The listed weights depend on T4x color: 204g for Pronto Purple and 208g for Marine Blue, against 199g for T5e.

Price difference in India
On October 7, 2026, vivo India’s E-Store displayed ₹19,499 including tax for the T4x 5G 8GB+128GB in Pronto Purple. That selected configuration was marked unavailable. The E-Store category page displayed ₹13,999 for the T5e 4GB+64GB in Aero Blue. The displayed difference is ₹5,500, but it is not a like-for-like price comparison: the listed configurations differ, and the T4x was unavailable on its product listing when checked. Prices and stock can change, so check the current listings before buying.

Which phone should you choose?
Choose the vivo T4x 5G if
- You need 5G, subject to availability from your carrier and in your area.
- You prefer the higher-resolution, up-to-120Hz display listed for the T4x.
- You want faster maximum wired charging or a choice of higher onboard RAM and storage configurations.
Consider the vivo T5e if
- 4G meets your needs and 4GB+64GB onboard storage is sufficient for you.
- You want the option to expand storage with a microSD card.
- The current price and availability make it a better fit for your budget.
For a value comparison, first compare the same RAM-and-storage configuration where available, then check the actual checkout price and stock. The dated listings above do not establish a current price advantage for either phone across equivalent configurations.
