Start by checking your webcam’s exact model in Logitech’s supported-device list, then choose an app that supports both the camera and the controls you want. Logi Tune covers many Logitech webcams, while Logi Options+ and G HUB are alternatives for supported devices and different use cases. None is required just to use a webcam for basic video; app support and available settings vary by model.
Choose an app by webcam model and purpose
Logitech has several apps that may provide webcam controls. Their names alone do not tell you whether a particular camera is supported. Check the model-level compatibility information first, then confirm the app’s operating-system requirements and whether it offers the settings you need.

For model-level Tune support, use Logitech’s supported-device information. Logitech also describes webcam settings in its settings guide. Pick an app according to device support, operating system, desired controls, and whether you are configuring a personal workspace or supported gaming and streaming gear.
Check operating-system requirements before installing Tune
Logitech’s current Logi Tune product page lists these requirements. They can change, so check the page again before installing.

For Mac users, Logitech’s compatibility article, updated in March 2026, lists Logi Tune as compatible with both Intel and Apple-silicon Macs. Logitech says its software typically supports the two latest macOS versions and directs users to software-specific compatibility information for confirmation. What webcam controls might be available?
Depending on the camera and app, Logitech’s settings guide describes controls for field of view or crop, exposure, focus, and image appearance. Image adjustments can include temperature, tint, brightness, contrast, saturation, and vibrance. Zoom and pan are available where supported; the full set of options is not guaranteed for every model.

The guide’s preview lets you see changes before applying them. Some features, including auto-framing, are limited to select models. Check the support information for your camera rather than assuming a control shown in the guide will appear in your app. Logitech outlines the available settings in its webcam settings guide.

A preset may restrict manual adjustments. Logitech says grayed-out controls typically indicate that a preset is active; switch to custom settings to make manual changes. The precise labels and options can vary by app and device. See Logitech’s instructions for adjusting webcam settings.

Set up the webcam and troubleshoot app detection
Logitech recommends connecting the webcam directly to the computer rather than through a USB hub. If the camera is missing from the app or expected controls are unavailable, work through these checks:
- Connect it directly: Plug the webcam into a computer USB port instead of a hub, following Logitech’s setup guidance.
- Identify the exact model: Use its model name or number when checking Logitech’s compatibility information.
- Confirm app and OS support: Check that the camera and your operating-system version are supported by the app you chose.
- Check for a preset: If controls are grayed out, switch from a preset to custom settings where that option is available.
- Check Logitech’s current support information: If the camera still does not appear, consult its support page and the app’s release notes. Compatibility and app features may change.
Recent Logi Tune Desktop release-note details
Logitech’s release history lists Logi Tune Desktop version 3.15.62 with a release date of September 4, 2026. The notes for version 3.14.72 describe resizable and detachable webcam previews, with options to flip the feed and capture a still image.
