Some marketing or configuration labels add “+8GB” or “+12GB.” That added amount refers to virtual memory allocated from storage, not additional physical RAM.
Display and brightness
The phone has a 6.75-inch LCD with 1570×720 resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.6:9. vivo lists a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, a 1500:1 contrast ratio and 83% NTSC color saturation. The resolution is HD+ class rather than Full HD, despite the relatively large panel.

vivo’s battery-life test figures
vivo reports 16.3 hours of continuous screen-on use, 15.5 hours of continuous navigation, 39.1 hours of continuous calls and 24 hours of short-video use. These are manufacturer laboratory results, not independent test results. vivo’s footnote says testing used Wi-Fi, 150-nit screen brightness and 63dB volume, and that outcomes vary with conditions, software and use. Water and dust resistance: what IP68/IP69 means here
vivo advertises IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance and says the ratings were achieved in controlled laboratory tests under GB/T 4208-2017. For IP68, vivo specifies immersion in 1.5m of still fresh water for 30 minutes; the page also describes heated-water spray conditions for IP69.
Those controlled conditions are not a guarantee that any real-world exposure or immersion is safe. vivo states that the model is not a professional waterproof phone, protection can diminish with wear, users should not charge it while wet, and liquid damage is outside the warranty. vivo Y500i product overview
