Angular’s NG8112 diagnostic means a template declares a value with @let but never reads that value. Use the variable where it is needed, or remove the declaration. If neither is appropriate, Angular lets you suppress this specific check in tsconfig.json.

What NG8112 means

NG8112 flags an @let declaration whose value is never read in the template. For example, a template might declare fullName from a user’s first and last name but render only “Welcome,” without using fullName. Angular describes the diagnostic in its NG8112 documentation.

An unused declaration is not necessarily cost-free: Angular says its expression is evaluated whenever the template updates. If that expression calls a function, the function still runs even though the declared value is never used. The declaration may be leftover from refactoring, or it may reveal a value the template was meant to display.

How to fix NG8112

Use the value in the template

If the value is intended to appear or otherwise be used, reference the variable where appropriate. For example, add an interpolation such as {{fullName}} to the greeting.

Remove the declaration

If the template does not need the value, delete the @let declaration. This is the direct fix for a leftover declaration.

Suppress the diagnostic when necessary

If the unused declaration must remain, Angular documents suppressing NG8112 with the unusedLetDeclaration extended-diagnostic setting in tsconfig.json:

{
  "angularCompilerOptions": {
    "extendedDiagnostics": {
      "checks": {
        "unusedLetDeclaration": "suppress"
      }
    }
  }
}

Use this setting only when the declaration cannot reasonably be used or removed; it silences this check rather than making the value useful.
