If you want an ultra-slim TV, the clearest measured example in the current 2026 lineups is LG’s 77-inch OLED evo W6, which LG describes as having a 9.9 mm wallpaper design and says includes a flush wall mount. Samsung’s 2026 U.S. OLED prices start at $1,199.99 for the 48-inch S85H, but the cited Samsung product listing describes the S90H as “super thin” without giving a thickness measurement. These are different kinds of evidence: a stated dimension is not directly comparable to a design description.
What “ultra-slim” means for these TVs
“Ultra-slim” is not a thickness standard in the cited product information. LG gives a specific figure for the W6: 9.9 mm for its wallpaper design. That figure describes the design, not necessarily every part of the television or the depth of a finished installation. Samsung’s UK S90H listing describes a super-thin profile and nearly bezel-less screen, but does not state a physical thickness in the reviewed product information.
As a result, you can compare LG’s stated design measurement with the dimensions on a model’s detailed specification sheet, but you cannot treat Samsung’s qualitative wording as an equivalent measurement. LG’s U.S. product page for the 77-inch Class LG OLED evo AI W6 describes an “Ultra Thin 9.9mm Wallpaper Design” and lists a flush wall mount as supplied. The page excerpt reviewed does not state an offer price, so there is no supported price to place alongside Samsung’s U.S. launch figures. Because the flush mount is listed as included, check the package contents before buying a separate mount. Confirm that any alternative mount is compatible with the specific TV and the installation you have planned.
How to choose and compare an ultra-slim TV
- Choose a screen size first. Compare prices within the same size where possible; a larger screen and a higher model tier can both affect price.
- Separate measured dimensions from marketing language. LG states 9.9 mm for the W6’s wallpaper design. Samsung’s cited S90H page uses “super thin” but gives no thickness measurement, so it cannot be ranked numerically against the W6 from these sources.
- Check how the set mounts. Review what hardware is included, whether the TV is designed for a flush installation, and what mount compatibility the manufacturer specifies. Do not assume an extra mount is necessary—or that any mount will fit.
