The Worx Landroid Vision Cloud WR310.1 can take over routine grass cutting without a boundary wire, but it does not eliminate all hands-on lawn care. You still need to place and power its charging base, provide Wi-Fi there, clear hazards from the grass, and expect that some edges may need trimming. A hands-on review also found that obstacle avoidance was not foolproof.
What the Worx Landroid Vision Cloud is
The US-listed WR310.1 is a two-wheel-drive robotic mower rated by Worx for lawns up to 1/4 acre. Its published navigation setup combines RTK Cloud, a stereo camera, and V-SLAM. The manufacturer lists a 20 V, 4 Ah lithium-ion battery, an 80-minute charge time, an 8.7-inch cutting width, three blades, and an adjustable cutting height from 1.57 to 3.54 inches. It also lists Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. These specifications are for the WR310.1 US listing; capacity tiers and regional model numbers may differ. Worx’s US product page
Worx advertises app-based scheduling and multi-zone management, weather-adaptive scheduling, compatibility with its PowerShare batteries, and lifetime-free RTK Cloud service. Those are manufacturer-published features; “free” refers to the stated RTK Cloud service, not necessarily every associated service or requirement. Worx product details
How much setup and manual work remains?
There is no perimeter-wire installation, but setup is still required
Worx says the Vision Cloud does not need a boundary wire, beacon, antenna, or separate positioning base station. Its UK FAQ describes automatic mapping with V-SLAM and a virtual map in the app, where owners can manage zones, schedules, cutting settings, and mower status. The FAQ also specifies an outdoor power socket and stable Wi-Fi coverage at the charging base. A wire-free boundary system is not a power-free or connectivity-free one. Worx UK setup FAQ

Obstacle avoidance helps, but does not make the lawn safe to leave cluttered
Worx promotes object recognition and obstacle avoidance, but these features should not be treated as a guarantee that the mower will detect every object. In Mike Prospero’s several-week Tom’s Guide test, the mower avoided tennis balls, jump ropes, and toys, but drove over a dog bone and its blades struck it. Clear the lawn before mowing and keep objects away from the cutting area. Tom’s Guide hands-on review, May 5, 2026
Plan for edge work and cleaning
Tom’s Guide’s reviewer still tidied some edges with a string trimmer. The reviewer also observed grass and pollen collecting around recesses in the mower’s body. That is evidence from one hands-on test, not a maintenance schedule or a guarantee of the same result on every lawn. If your lawn has edges the robot cannot reach cleanly, allow for occasional manual trimming.

Does it suit your lawn?
Match the model’s capacity to the lawn and its layout
The WR310.1’s published capacity is up to 1/4 acre, but area alone does not establish that every yard of that size is a good fit. Check the exact regional model, usable lawn area, connectivity at the charging base, obstacles, and edge geometry. Tom’s Guide found initial setup and mapping easy and liked the mower’s ability to mow in patterns and then trim edges, but reported that the 4 Ah battery could require multiple passes on larger lawns. In one test on a 0.02-acre lawn, the reviewer made a specific battery observation; it should not be taken as a universal runtime figure. Worx specifications · Tom’s Guide test

Worx lists a maximum slope of 30% (17°) for the two-wheel-drive WR310. That specification is not a promise of equal performance on every surface: traction, turning room, and ground conditions also matter. In its test, Tom’s Guide reported difficulty turning and climbing on steep outer portions of a yard described as about 20–30°, while the mower did better in a flatter back yard and managed the reviewer’s 17° ramp test. The reviewer noted that Worx offers a four-wheel-drive mower for steeper grades. Choose drive configuration with your actual terrain in mind rather than assuming four-wheel drive is necessary for every yard. Worx specifications · Tom’s Guide hands-on review

What the review evidence says—and what it does not
Tom’s Guide’s several-week experience suggests that the Vision Cloud can automate routine mowing and simplify initial mapping, but its obstacle detection was inconsistent and some edge work remained. The reviewer’s battery observations apply to the tested mower and lawn, not every yard or mowing schedule. These findings are useful for identifying trade-offs; they are not a comparative test proving that this model outperforms other robotic mowers.
Worx says Landroid was the top-selling robotic mower brand for five consecutive years, based on audited retail sell-out data across major European markets from 2020 through 2025. That is a manufacturer statement about the Landroid brand, not evidence that the Vision Cloud WR310 is the best mower for an individual buyer. Worx product page

Owner care and accessories
The available official manual linked here is for the earlier Landroid Vision WR235, not a confirmed WR310 Cloud manual. It advises switching off the mower and removing the battery before blade service, replacing blades together, using new screws, and wearing protective gloves. Treat those as general cautions only: follow the manual supplied for your exact mower for model-specific service instructions. The WR235 manual’s Wi-Fi and blade-life details should not be assumed to apply to the WR310. Worx WR235 owner’s manual
Recommended Free Tools
Worx states that the mower battery is compatible with its cordless tools. A compatible string trimmer can be a useful optional complement for edges the robot leaves, but is not required for operation.
