To stop alerts from a specific app on Apple Watch, open the Apple Watch app on your paired iPhone and go to My Watch > Notifications. Select the app and choose Notifications Off if that option is available. Some apps use different controls, including a switch that stops the Watch from mirroring iPhone alerts.
Turn off notifications for one Apple Watch app

Open the Apple Watch app on the iPhone paired with your Watch.

Tap My Watch > Notifications.

Choose the app you want to change, such as Messages.

If the app offers Custom, tap it and select Notifications Off. Apple describes this setting as stopping notifications from that app on the Watch.

If the app appears under Mirror iPhone Alerts From, turn off the switch beside it to stop mirrored iPhone alerts on the Watch.
App controls vary: not every app offers the same options. Apple says the default mirroring behavior applies to a Watch set up for its owner; it does not apply in the same way to an Apple Watch managed for a family member. See Apple’s guide to changing Apple Watch notification settings.

Change Calendar alerts without switching them all off
Open Calendar from My Watch > Notifications and review the available options. Depending on the controls shown, you may be able to limit alerts to selected calendars or event types, such as invitations or changes to a shared calendar. If you do not see those choices, your setup may offer different controls; Apple does not promise identical options for every version or configuration.
Mute an alert temporarily from Apple Watch
For a short break rather than a lasting app-level change, open the notification on your Watch and tap More. Depending on the app, the menu may offer Mute 1 hour or Mute for Today. Apple says muted notifications go to Notification Center without making a sound or displaying the notification. The available choices depend on the app. Details are in Apple’s instructions for silencing notifications for extended periods.

Know whether an alert will go to your iPhone or Watch
Apple generally routes a notification to either the iPhone or Apple Watch, not both. When the iPhone is unlocked, the alert appears on the iPhone instead of the Watch. When the iPhone is locked or asleep, it generally goes to the Watch, unless the Watch is locked. Reading or dismissing a Watch notification also dismisses it from the iPhone.
As a result, turning off an app’s Watch notifications does not necessarily turn off that app’s notifications on the iPhone. To change iPhone alerts, adjust that app’s notification settings on the iPhone itself. Apple explains the routing behavior in its guide to notifications on Apple Watch.

Choose a broader quiet mode when several apps are involved
For a quiet period across multiple apps, Apple documents Silent Mode, Theater Mode, Do Not Disturb, and Focus. These affect more than one app, so they are alternatives to consider when you want broader quiet—not replacements for switching off one app’s Watch notifications.
