The UGREEN HomeAgent HA100 is designed to bring local storage, security recording, computing, and smart-home control into one hub. That makes consolidation plausible, but the available product information does not prove that it will save every owner money, space, or setup effort—and it does not establish that the HA100 can replace a particular PoE switch. Treat it as a proposed all-in-one system whose actual benefits depend on your drives, cameras, network, and backup plan.
What the HA100 combines
UGREEN presents HomeAgent as more than a conventional NAS: it combines local file storage, surveillance storage, home-security features, device control, and AI processing. The company says core storage, security, file management, and smart-home functions run on the local network. Its stated hardware figures are 26 TOPS and 16GB of memory; these are manufacturer specifications, not independent performance results. UGREEN’s launch announcement
For someone currently using a NAS, a PoE switch, and an NVR, the appeal is fewer separate roles to manage. But “all-in-one” does not by itself mean every existing component can be removed. In particular, the available specifications do not establish the HA100’s built-in PoE port count, port speeds, or power budget.
How the storage arrangement is intended to work
UGREEN describes a “2+1 storage setup” that separates personal files from security footage across different drives, and advertises up to 96TB of storage for the HA100. The advertised maximum is not the same as usable capacity: the final amount depends on compatible drives, drive assignment, and any redundancy configuration. Keep a separate backup plan for important files. Assigning footage and personal files to different drives can separate their storage roles, but the product description alone does not establish that either set is backed up or protected against drive failure. Decide what needs redundancy, what needs an independent backup, and how much capacity remains after those choices.
What consolidation might—and might not—change
The practical case is strongest when fewer boxes and simpler administration are valuable to you. Before deciding that the HA100 can replace your current arrangement, compare your existing setup with the proposed one on these points:

- Physical setup: Count devices, power supplies, network connections, and cables today, then check which of those the HA100 actually replaces.
- Storage: Map each drive to files or footage, calculate usable capacity, and account for redundancy and independent backups.
- Cameras and networking: Verify camera compatibility and supported camera count. Separately confirm the HA100’s PoE port count, speed, and power budget; the product material cited here does not supply those details.
- Cost: Add the hub, compatible drives, cameras, and any network equipment you still need. A single enclosure does not establish a lower total system cost.
- Reliability and recovery: Consider whether combining functions in one hub creates a single point of failure for storage, recording, and control, and plan how you would restore each function.
- Delivery and support: Check the current availability, warranty terms, and estimated delivery before committing to a campaign purchase.
Without measured before-and-after footprint, cable count, cost, or administration time, it is not possible to substantiate a specific owner’s claim that consolidation “saved more than just space.” Those are reasonable things to measure in your own setup, not established product outcomes.

UGREEN’s HomeAgent ecosystem includes the SynCare PoE Cam OD600 Pro, described as an outdoor camera using one PoE cable for power and data. UGREEN lists the camera as an optional campaign add-on. This supports the existence of an integrated camera path, but does not establish compatibility with every existing camera or show that the HA100 can power multiple cameras directly. Before removing a PoE switch, verify the HA100’s port-level specifications and compare them with the number of cameras you use and their power requirements. If the hub cannot provide the required ports or power, you may still need a switch even if the HA100 handles recording.
“Local” does not mean every feature works offline
UGREEN says supported files, photos, video, surveillance footage, and locally generated AI results are stored and processed on HomeAgent. The company also says internet access is required for activation, model downloads, remote access, push notifications, and over-the-air updates. Some notification options may upload event snapshots or thumbnails. Campaign timing and price are subject to change
UGREEN’s campaign page, viewed October 7, 2026, listed a $799 Super Early Bird price against a $1,599 MSRP and a $50 deposit. The page says a deposit is not a final purchase; final reward selection takes place on Kickstarter. It also estimated HA100 shipping would begin in late February 2027. UGREEN’s descriptions and performance figures are manufacturer claims; the cited material does not provide independent benchmarks or measured savings in space, cost, or reliability. The HA100’s consolidation proposition is credible as a design goal, but whether it replaces all three devices depends especially on the verified PoE specifications, your camera setup, and the storage configuration you need.
