To organize Agent conversations, create a Project from the Agent area of your dashboard, then add relevant existing chats or start new ones from inside that Project. Optional Project instructions provide shared context for its chats, so you do not have to repeat the same background in each conversation.
Create a Project
- In your dashboard, select Agent in the sidebar, then choose Projects in the navigation panel.
- Select + New.
- Enter a Project name. You can also add optional instructions, which provide shared context followed by every chat in the Project. The instructions field supports up to 8,000 characters.
- Select Create.
Add chats and start conversations
Add conversations you already have
- Open the Project.
- Select + Add beside Chats.
- Find and select the conversations you want to include, then select Add.
Start a new Project conversation
On the Project page, enter your prompt in “Ask in this project…” at the top. Chats added to the Project automatically use its instructions.
Manage Project name and instructions
From the Projects list, open the three-dot menu next to a Project. Choose Rename, Instructions, or Delete. The Rename and Instructions options open the same editor, where you can update the Project details.

Projects group chats and apply shared instructions; they are not documented as a way to combine transcripts or transfer one agent’s private conversation knowledge to another. A separate conversation guide describes a History tab for browsing past conversations and persistent conversations for each Agent. It also says that knowledge is independent across specific agents, so information given to one is not automatically available to another. If you change topics during an ongoing conversation, explicitly say that the topic has changed.

Availability and release timing
A weekly update dated September 28, 2026, says Projects shipped during the week of September 21–25, 2026. The reviewed documentation does not specify whether access depends on account type, subscription plan, or region. If Projects are not visible in your dashboard, check current official guidance or your dashboard rather than assuming the feature is available to every account.
