The best web design inspiration site depends on what you need to study: complete websites, landing pages, product screens, user flows, or creative projects. Use a gallery such as SiteInspire, Awwwards, or Httpster for full-site references; Lapa Ninja or Land-book for landing pages; Mobbin, Refero, or Page Flows for product interfaces; and Dribbble or Behance for visual explorations and project work. These sites offer different kinds of references, not one universal ranking of design quality.

How to choose a web design inspiration site

Start with the question your current brief raises. A complete-site gallery helps you examine a website as a whole. A landing-page collection helps you compare page structure and messaging. An interface archive is more useful for app screens and product patterns, while a flow library can show how a sequence of screens fits together.

  • Complete marketing site: Look for full-site galleries and choose between filtered discovery, award-oriented work, or restrained examples.
  • Landing page: Use a collection focused on landing pages rather than relying only on isolated visual shots.
  • Mobile or web app interface: Search product-screen archives for patterns and examples tied to real interfaces.
  • Onboarding, checkout, or another sequence: Choose a flow-focused source that lets you study more than a single screen.
  • Visual exploration or process: Browse a design community for quick visual ideas, or portfolios for fuller project presentations and case studies.

A 2026 comparison of inspiration sites distinguishes these formats and their discovery models; its list is a useful directory, not a claim that every service was independently tested. Colorlib’s roundup and Wbcom Designs’ comparison provide the category-level descriptions.

15 web design inspiration sites, organized by what they help you study

Site Best suited to What to look for
Awwwards Complete websites and award-oriented examples Ambitious web design selected through a judging process; recognition is not the same as broad practical fit.
Dribbble Visual exploration Polished design shots and work shared by a broad design community, rather than a consistent archive of complete live sites.
Behance Creative portfolios and case studies Broader project presentations that can show more context than a standalone visual.
Mobbin Mobile and web app interfaces Product UI screens and patterns.
SiteInspire Curated website discovery Browse sites using filters for style, type, subject, and platform.
CSS Design Awards Award-oriented websites CSS-focused award examples and site discovery.
Httpster Clean, modern websites Restrained or minimal visual references.
Muzli Ongoing design discovery A broader design news and inspiration feed rather than a single-purpose website archive.
Refero Product UI references Screenshots of real product interfaces.
Page Flows User journeys Recorded flows, useful when studying sequences such as onboarding or checkout rather than just static screens.
Lapa Ninja Landing pages Landing-page layouts and full-page examples.
Recent Premium web and visual design Check the current name and use its Web filter when looking for website examples; a 2026 comparison identifies it as formerly Godly.
Land-book Landing pages Landing-page references and themed collections.
One Page Love Single-page websites Storytelling, hierarchy, and transitions between sections on one-page sites.
Minimal Gallery Minimalist websites Focused references with restrained layouts.

The descriptions above summarize each service’s reported focus in Colorlib’s 2026 list; they are not a comparative hands-on test. Community uploads, curated selections, and judged award galleries surface different material, so choose according to the reference you need rather than treating them as interchangeable quality rankings.

Which sites fit common design tasks?

Studying a complete marketing website

Start with SiteInspire if you want to narrow a gallery by attributes such as style, type, subject, or platform. Choose Awwwards when award-selected, ambitious work is the intended reference, and Httpster when you want cleaner, more restrained examples. Award recognition can help you discover distinctive work, but it does not by itself show that a design suits your audience, content, or constraints.

Planning a landing page or single-page site

Lapa Ninja and Land-book focus on landing-page examples. One Page Love is the more specific destination for a single-page site, where the order and transitions of sections matter to the overall story.

Designing a product interface or user flow

Use Mobbin or Refero to examine product UI screens and patterns. Choose Page Flows when the question is about how a user moves through a sequence, such as onboarding or checkout. A collection of individual screens can provide visual references, but it does not answer every question about a multi-step journey.

Exploring visual ideas and project process

Dribbble is oriented toward visual shots and quick exploration; Behance is useful for broader creative portfolios and project case studies. The distinction is one of format and context, not a claim that one community is better. Wbcom Designs’ comparison also frames these as different ways to discover design work.

Following broader design discovery

Muzli is a design-news aggregator, so it is better suited to wider, ongoing discovery than to searching a narrowly defined archive of complete websites. Use it when you want a broader feed; use a specialist gallery when the brief calls for a particular reference format.

Using filters and counts without overreading them

SiteInspire’s live directory provides filters for styles, types, subjects, and platforms. That taxonomy can help turn a broad browse into a search closer to a project brief. When its page was checked, it displayed 2,406 entries under Agencies & Consultancies, 2,105 under Typographic, and 1,945 under Design & Art Direction. These are changing directory counts, not stable totals or measures of the design industry. See SiteInspire’s directory for its current filters and counts.

Check current names and features

Service names, redirects, filters, and access terms can change. A 2026 comparison identifies Godly as now using the name Recent, and Design Vault as redirecting to ScreensDesign. Treat these as reported naming changes, not guarantees that every old link or feature will work the same way today. Confirm the current destination and available filters on the service itself before relying on an old bookmark. The comparison also reports submission fees for some award sites, but fees can change; check the relevant service’s own current terms if submitting work.

For a productive browse, begin with a constraint from the brief—such as page type, platform, or visual style—then save examples with a note about what they demonstrate. Consider whether the reference works because of its information hierarchy, content, interaction, or visual treatment. This keeps a collection useful for the design decision at hand instead of becoming an unannotated pile of screenshots.
