To take a screenshot on a Samsung Galaxy A13, briefly press the Side (Power) button and Volume Down at the same time, then release. The screen should flash, and the image will be saved in Gallery under Albums > Screenshots.
Take a screenshot with the buttons
- Open the screen you want to capture.
- Briefly press the Side (Power) button and Volume Down together.
- Release both buttons. The screen should flash to indicate that the screenshot was taken.
Use a short press rather than holding the buttons down. AT&T’s Galaxy A13 support instructions specify this button combination.
Find the screenshot in Gallery
Open Gallery, tap Albums, then open Screenshots. Samsung says captures are saved automatically to that album. See Samsung’s screenshot instructions.
Can you use palm swipe on the Galaxy A13?
Some Galaxy devices support taking a screenshot by swiping the edge of a hand across the display. To check whether your A13 has the option, look under Settings > Advanced features > Motions and gestures for “Palm swipe to capture.” If the setting is present, enable it and try the gesture.
#1 Best Overall
- Designed with business or budget-conscious users in mind, the Galaxy A13 delivers reliable 4G (or 5G on select variants) connectivity and a large 6.6‑inch FHD+ PLS LCD screen, giving you plenty of real estate for multitasking without stepping into premium-tier pricing.
Do not assume the option is available on every Galaxy A13. A Samsung Community discussion about the A13 describes the setting as missing on at least one member’s model; availability can vary by model and software. The button method remains the A13-specific capture method documented by AT&T. Read the A13 palm-swipe discussion.

Some apps and screens prevent screenshots for privacy or security. Samsung gives banking apps as an example. If you see “Can’t take screenshot due to security measure,” the app or screen is blocking the capture; the button combination cannot override that restriction.

- Built around a quad-camera system, featuring a 50 MP main sensor complemented by a 5 MP ultra-wide, 2 MP macro, and 2 MP depth lens, which together enable wider compositions, sharper close-up shots, and realistic portrait effects.
- Reliable security and usability with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Samsung Knox for device protection, and the flexibility of a 3.5 mm headphone jack — providing secure access and traditional audio options without compromise.
- Expandable storage up to 1 TB via microSD, letting you boost your onboard memory affordably for large photo libraries, video downloads, or productivity apps — making this device ideal for users who don’t want to be limited.
- Long-term software support from Samsung, with guaranteed security updates in line with Samsung’s maintenance policy and a One UI Core experience that balances simplicity and essential functionality.
Samsung notes that settings and screenshot availability can differ by carrier, software version, and model. Its Galaxy A13 support page lists an Android 13 user manual, but that does not establish that every A13 variant has identical menus or gesture support.
