To add a product in Hostinger AI Builder, open Store Management → Products → Add product, choose a product type, enter its details, and save. Saving creates a product page, but in manual mode you may also need to place a product list or single-product section on a website page before visitors can see it. Add a payment method before expecting customers to complete checkout.
Before you add products
Hostinger’s manual-mode setup guide requires an active Hostinger Ecommerce subscription to access Store Management and accept payments. During store setup, you select a business title, country, and currency. Plan access and available controls can vary, so check the options shown in your account.
Hostinger’s AI Builder guide says a store can contain up to 1,000 products. This is a published platform limit, not a recommendation for how many products to launch with.

Add a product
- Open Store Management, select Products, and click Add product.
- Choose the product type before filling in the form. Hostinger says the type cannot be changed after selection. Depending on the store mode, the choices may include physical products, digital products, services, appointments, donations, gift cards (beta), and print-on-demand. Hostinger’s broader Ecommerce documentation also lists subscriptions; it says subscriptions are created through AI Builder agentic mode rather than the standalone Ecommerce Add product form. The options shown can therefore differ by mode.
- Enter a product title. Hostinger uses it as the product-page title and meta title. Add images and, if useful, a subtitle, ribbon, and description.
- Complete the fields for the selected type. For a physical product, this can include price, sale price, SKU, weight, stock tracking, and product options. Weight is optional and applies to physical products; quantity tracking is also optional. Digital products require a file or a supported external link.
- Assign a category if appropriate, then save. Hostinger says the product page is created automatically when you create a product.
Hostinger’s AI Builder guide states a minimum price of USD 1 or the equivalent in the store’s currency. Zero-priced or discretionary-price products are unsupported, except for appointment products.

Choose the right product type
| Type | How it is delivered or used | Details to account for |
|---|---|---|
| Physical | Shipped or made available for pickup | Set price and any relevant stock, weight, SKU, or variant details. |
| Digital | Delivered as a download or through a supported external link | Hostinger’s digital-product guide allows up to 10 files per product, with a maximum of 100 MB per file. |
| Service or appointment | A service offering or scheduled appointment | Appointment products are the stated exception to the minimum-price rule. |
| Donation or gift card | A contribution or a gift card for a customer to use | Gift cards are marked beta in the AI Builder guide. |
| Print-on-demand | Custom-designed products fulfilled through an integration | Hostinger names Printful as its print-on-demand fulfillment integration. |
| Subscription | A recurring product offering | Hostinger’s broader Ecommerce guide says subscriptions are created through AI Builder agentic mode, not the standalone Ecommerce Add product form. |
The available types depend on the store mode and interface. Hostinger’s AI Builder and general Ecommerce guides do not present identical lists, so use the choices available in your account rather than assuming every type is offered in every store.
Add sizes, colors, or other variants
- In the product editor, add an option type such as Size or Color.
- Enter the available selections for each option.
- Review the combinations Hostinger generates. Each combination becomes a variant—for example, Small/Blue and Large/Blue are separate variants.
- Edit variant details as needed. Hostinger’s variant editor supports individual images, prices, sale prices, SKUs, weights, and stock quantities.
Hostinger’s product-options guide allows up to 50 variations per product. Keep the combinations accurate: shoppers need to select the variant they intend to buy, and stock or pricing may differ by variant.
Create products in batches
Generate listings from images
Hostinger says AI can generate up to 10 physical product listings from up to 10 uploaded images. Review and customize the generated details before relying on them as accurate product information; an image does not establish specifications, pricing, or stock on its own.
Import a product file
The AI Builder guide documents importing CSV or XLSX product data, with up to 50 products per batch. Hostinger labels this import feature beta, so it may not be available or behave identically in every account.
Make products visible on the website
Creating a product and displaying it in the storefront are separate steps in manual mode. Hostinger says the product page is generated automatically, but that does not guarantee the product will appear in a section on a page visitors browse.
- Open the target page in the website builder.
- Add an Online store product section.
- Choose a product list to show all products or a selected category, or use a single-product section when you want to feature one item.
- Update the website and check the page to confirm the item appears where intended.
In agentic mode, AI-created products may be drafts. Activate them and update the website if the interface requires it.

Set up payments before checkout
Hostinger requires at least one payment method to be added before customers can pay for a product. Configure an available payment method in store settings and verify the checkout flow before directing shoppers to purchase.
Store language
Hostinger’s current AI Builder product guide says stores support one language and do not natively provide multilingual product pages. If you need listings in multiple languages, do not assume the product editor will create or manage translated pages for you.
