For a flexible early-game plan in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, develop Kalla to Level 1 for Avoid +50, then Aurora to Level 2 for broad physical and magical damage reduction. Change that order if your next route has heavy fog of war: Credna Level 1 can make those maps easier to navigate. There is no single best sequence for every army, difficulty, and map.

Which temple should you serve first?

Start with Kalla Level 1 when your immediate concern is keeping units alive through evasion. AllThingsHow’s September 2026 guide describes the blessing’s effect as Avoid +50. That makes it a useful early investment for a roster that benefits from dodging attacks, rather than a universal answer for every map.

After Kalla, develop Aurora to Level 2 for a wider defensive option. AllThingsHow describes this level as halving physical and magical damage, while KeenGamer also recommends Aurora for army-wide damage reduction. This is a practical follow-up when you need protection that is not centered on evasion.

These are guide-reported effects and recommendations, not official mechanics documentation. Their usefulness can change with difficulty, army composition, Divine Sand availability, and the threats on the route ahead.

#1 Best Overall
Fire Emblem™: Fortune's Weave - Nintendo Switch 2
  • Enter the Dagdan Empire—a prosperous land ruled by the gods—and compete in the Heroic Games for the chance to be granted one wish
  • Play as four heroes competing in the Heroic Games whose fortunes are tied to the fate of the world
  • Prepare for each match of the Heroic Games by exploring Dagda and its capital city of Dagsion
  • Learn skills at the training grounds, recruit allies and build bonds of friendship, and explore beyond Dagsion’s walls to gain experience
  • Use everything you have at your disposal, including your heroes’ special abilities, to turn the tide of battle

When should Credna come first?

If your next map or route relies on fog of war, prioritize Credna Level 1 before Kalla or Aurora. Both guides identify its visibility benefit as a strong choice for fog-heavy play. Being able to see more of the map can matter more than a general combat boost when you are planning around hidden enemies or uncertain terrain.

For maps without fog, Credna is less urgent under the recommendations in these guides. Keep it as a conditional priority rather than treating it as a mandatory first blessing.

Rank #2
Fire Emblem™ Engage - Nintendo Switch

How to choose the remaining blessings

You can equip up to four blessings at once, so use the open slots to answer the needs of the next map and your current roster rather than following a rigid build order. The available advice points to three useful comparisons:

  • Fog-of-war visibility: choose Credna when limited visibility is the main obstacle.
  • Evasion: choose Kalla when avoiding attacks is valuable to your units.
  • Broad damage mitigation: choose Aurora when physical and magical threats make general protection more useful.

Before spending Divine Sand, consider the upcoming map’s hazards and the cost on your difficulty setting. AllThingsHow and KeenGamer report that costs vary by difficulty; the available evidence does not establish one cost that applies to every player. The guides also describe combat blessings as single-turn effects that consume Divine Sand, so the right choice depends partly on whether you can afford to use the blessing when it matters.

Rank #3
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes - Switch
  • Command Fire Emblem: Three Houses characters like Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude in epic real-time battles
  • Play through three distinct storylines set in the Fire Emblem: Three Houses universe, each with a different ending, from the point of view of a new protagonist, Shez.

  • Fight through hordes of enemies with Fire Emblem: Three Houses characters and their distinct abilities
  • Use Fire Emblem series mechanics like the weapons triangle, character classes, crests, and battalions to tailor your strategy

How Temple Service works

Temple Service takes place during Free Time in Dagsion. AllThingsHow, KeenGamer, and Game8 describe assigning two units to serve a god; each unit spends 1 Motivation, the pair gains Support, and service advances that god’s blessing gauge. The activity does not consume a chapter turn. Repeat service over multiple weeks to fill the gauge and develop the blessing.

The service system covers six gods: Aurora, Mars, Smyrnos, Jurah, Kalla, and Credna. Fortuna’s blessing is obtained through story progression rather than Temple Service, according to the guides. You can equip up to four blessings at a time.

Use a holy day when it fits

AllThingsHow and Game8 report that serving a god on its holy day advances the gauge faster and guarantees a Perfect result, which refunds the two participating units’ Motivation. AllThingsHow lists the weekly holy days as follows:

Day God
Monday Aurora
Tuesday Mars
Wednesday Smyrnos
Thursday Jurah
Friday Kalla

Weekly activities reset on Sunday, according to AllThingsHow. If you are choosing between gods and can wait, scheduling service on the relevant holy day can make better use of your units’ Motivation.

Does blessing progress carry between routes?

AllThingsHow and KeenGamer report that developed blessing levels carry over between routes. If that behavior holds for your version, early service can benefit later playthroughs as well as the current route. Treat this as guide-reported behavior; the sources are third-party guides rather than an official mechanics reference.

Recommended early order at a glance

  1. Develop Kalla to Level 1 for Avoid +50 if evasion is a good fit for your army.
  2. Develop Aurora to Level 2 for the broad damage reduction described by AllThingsHow.
  3. Move Credna to the front whenever a fog-of-war map makes visibility the immediate priority.
  4. Use remaining equipped slots to match the threats and roster of the next map.

The effects and service details above come from third-party guides published in September 2026, not an official game reference. Patch changes or differences between versions may affect the mechanics.
