For a slower, realism-oriented FC 27 Career Mode, start with the Authentic preset, switch gameplay to Custom, enable Authenticity, and try Legendary difficulty with halves of at least eight minutes. A community preset offers the User/CPU slider values below as a starting experiment—not an EA recommendation or a proven best setup. The exact feel will depend on your team, play style, and game updates.
Recommended FC 27 Career Mode sliders
These values come from an individual community preset, not EA. Start from Authentic and change gameplay to Custom; settings the author does not list remain at their Authentic defaults. The author characterizes the setup as patient buildup and slower football, but the outcomes are not independently established. View the community preset and its context.

CPU Opponent behavior in the same preset
The author lists CPU Opponent behavior as Custom and recommends Player-based difficulty on for both opponent and teammate. The post gives these CPU behavior values:
- Aggression: 56
- Stand tackle frequency: 80
- Professional foul frequency: 56
- Regular shot frequency: 54
- Finesse shot frequency: 60
- Long shot frequency: 53
- Skill move frequency: 1
How to choose between the slower preset and other slider approaches
There is no source-supported universal best set. A separate Operation Sports community thread, version 5, dated October 6, 2026, also recommends sprint speed at 32/32, but its contributor Matt10 says acceleration at 50 can promote more animations, including ball-retention animations. The thread described its values as still under review. That differs from the preset above, which uses acceleration at 44/44 or 43/43 for slower play. Read the Operation Sports community thread.

Adjust pace in small steps
If the slower preset feels too inert, try the thread’s acceleration value of 50 while keeping other settings unchanged. If you want a slower match, use 44 or 43. Change only a small number of sliders between matches so you can identify which adjustment changes the feel you want. These are community suggestions, not controlled test results.
Choose difficulty and half length for different reasons
Difficulty controls the challenge you want; half length changes match rhythm and the time you spend on a match and season. The community preset recommends Legendary and halves of at least eight minutes. By contrast, an independent FC Career guide updated October 5 recommends World Class for many returning players, moving to Legendary once you consistently finish near the top of the table, and six-minute halves as a compromise between match development and season length. Keep tactics separate from gameplay sliders
The same independent guide suggests choosing Build-Up Style to suit your squad and setting Defensive Approach or line height according to the risk your defenders can sustain, with around 50 as a balanced-side reference. Treat these as tactical choices rather than additional entries in the gameplay-slider preset. EA says Career settings can be customized in Quick Settings or other tabs, but its help page does not establish one universal navigation path for every platform and slider. EA Career Mode help.
What EA confirms about FC 27 Career Mode
EA says Authentic Gameplay 2.0 aims for more realistic movement, smarter CPU behavior, and greater match variety. Its Career Mode deep dive says FC 27 adds 25 gameplay sliders and 10 CPU sliders, with CPU Opponent and CPU Teammate categories that can be controlled separately, including in modes such as Player Career. EA’s first Career Mode developer launch update says it is monitoring player feedback on stamina and Dynamic OVR and working on team-management UI updates, generated players with unexpectedly high starting ratings, transfer-list and loan-list offers, and the pace at which players request transfers based on playtime.
