You can enable NFC on a Galaxy A03s only if your specific regional model includes NFC hardware. Samsung lists NFC as “N/A” or “No” for some A03s variants, but lists it as “Yes” for an SM-A037G listing in Ireland. Check the full model number before looking for a toggle; a setting or app cannot add NFC to a phone that lacks the radio.
Check whether your Galaxy A03s has NFC
- Open Settings → About phone and note the complete model number, such as SM-A037F or SM-A037G. The name “Galaxy A03s” alone is not specific enough.
- Look up that exact model on Samsung’s support or product page for the market where the phone was sold. Check the Connectivity or NFC specification.
- Use the specification for your handset’s region and model rather than assuming a menu guide for another carrier or country applies.
Samsung’s U.S. Verizon and unlocked A03s specification sheets state “NFC — N/A.” Samsung Gulf lists NFC as “No” for SM-A037F, while Samsung Ireland lists NFC as “Yes” for SM-A037G. These listings show that NFC support varies by model and market; they do not establish a single answer for every Galaxy A03s. Turn on NFC if your model supports it
- Open Settings → Connections.
- Look for NFC or NFC and contactless payments, then switch it on.
- If your software provides an NFC button in Quick Settings, you can use that button as an alternate toggle.
Menu names and available controls can vary with software and device configuration. Samsung’s general guidance gives the Settings → Connections route and notes that Quick Settings may include an NFC control; it does not confirm that every A03s has NFC. Samsung UK’s NFC guidance, updated 29 May 2026, describes NFC as a short-range connection that requires devices to be close together.

If there is no NFC option
First compare your full model code with Samsung’s specification for the phone’s sales region. If Samsung says NFC is not supported and the setting is absent, there is no hidden software switch to enable: NFC requires radio hardware inside the phone. An app, NFC sticker, or phone case cannot add that hardware. For contactless functions, use another phone whose exact model and regional specification confirm NFC support.

Some carrier instructions describe NFC steps for a Galaxy A03s configuration they support. For example, Three UK’s A03s guide marks NFC as supported, but does not identify the same full SKU as every other regional listing. Treat it as guidance for that carrier’s configuration, not proof that all A03s models include NFC.
