Strength heroes use four gear slots in AFK Arena: hand, head, body, and foot. Improve their equipment by weighing gear quality, faction match, enhancement, and Mythic progression together—not by looking for one universal Strength set. For scarce materials, community progression advice favors the heroes who drive your current team first.
What gear do Strength heroes use?
Strength is an equipment class, and its gear fills four slots: hand, head, body, and foot. BlueStacks Content Team broadly describes Strength-based heroes as characters that mostly deal physical damage and fight at close range, but that is not a rule for every hero or a complete build recommendation. Its guide catalogs Strength gear tiers and their listed attributes: BlueStacks’ Strength gear guide.
When comparing two pieces, check the hero’s role in your team, the slot, faction match, quality or Mythic tier, enhancement state, and the materials needed to improve or obtain the piece. A faction-matched item and a generic item at a higher tier can offer different advantages; the better choice depends on the hero and the available upgrade resources.

Quality and enhancement
Gear attributes vary with quality and enhancement. Enhancement consumes gold and other gear, and the AFK Arena Wiki describes quality restrictions on what can be used. Because enhancement spends resources as well as equipment, consider the hero’s ongoing place in your team before investing heavily. The Wiki is community-maintained, not official documentation: AFK Arena Wiki: Gear.

Faction match
On gear that supports faction alignment, matching the piece to the hero’s faction increases its gear bonus by 30%, according to the AFK Arena Wiki. Faction alignment is not available on every piece; at higher Mythic tiers, prior faction bonuses are consolidated. Check the individual item rather than assuming every gear tier can be faction-matched.
Mythic tiers and Gear Resonance
Mythic tier progression and Gear Resonance are distinct ways the game handles equipment progression. The Wiki documents both, but neither means that every hero should receive the same item or that a single Mythic piece is always the best immediate investment. Compare the hero, slot, faction alignment, and cost of the next upgrade.

Which Strength hero should you gear first?
AFK Global’s account-progression guide recommends gearing the carry first, then core heroes, tanks, and supports. Treat this as community guidance rather than an official rule: your practical priority is the heroes you use regularly to move your account forward, and the order can change with your team. The guide also recommends buying Mythic gear or upgrade stones in the Guild Store and avoiding investment in gear below Mythic. Its chapter gates and store advice are guide-specific and may change: AFK Global’s progression guide.
- Start with the carry. Prioritize equipment for the hero your team relies on most to win fights.
- Cover the regular core. Improve the other frequently used heroes who enable that team, including tanks and supports as needed.
- Compare the next upgrade before spending. Check the slot, faction match, tier, enhancement state, and resource cost together; do not upgrade just because an item is available.
How to compare gear for a Strength hero
Faction, class, and role are different ways to describe a hero; they should not be treated as interchangeable. Hero profiles and equipment information can help establish those distinctions, but the available sources do not establish a current, verified hero-by-hero or mode-specific build ranking. Use this checklist for the individual hero and your account instead.

- Join forces to help Frodo make his way across Middle Earth and complete his quest to destroy the one ring
- In this cooperative strategy game players will roll dice and draw cards to try and avoid the ring wraiths and save Middle Earth
- Plays up to four players or can be a solo adventure

- Immerses you in the world of Tolkein
- Team role: Is the hero a carry, a core enabler, a tank, or a support in the team you actually use?
- Slot: Is the piece for hand, head, body, or foot?
- Faction: Does the gear have faction alignment, and does it match the hero?
- Quality or tier: What quality is the piece, and is it Mythic or on a Mythic progression path?
- Enhancement: How much has it been enhanced, and what further materials would that require?
- Availability and cost: Is the upgrade accessible through your current in-game options, and is it a better use of resources than gearing another regular team member?
The Heroes wiki distinguishes faction, class, and role and documents hero profile equipment information. Since the cited sources do not provide a verified current build for each hero or game mode, use them to understand the mechanics—not as a substitute for a universal set recommendation.
