Both are specified for 90W charging, but the available official price figures come from different countries and currencies, so they do not establish a direct price difference.

Which phone has the better battery and charging?
The Y500 lists an 8200mAh typical battery (8010mAh rated), compared with 7000mAh typical for the V70 FE. That gives the Y500 the higher stated capacity, but capacity alone does not establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use. Screen settings, software, signal conditions, and workload also affect runtime, and no comparable battery-endurance test is established here.
Both phones list 90W charging. The shared wattage does not show that they charge in the same amount of time: no same-condition charging-time comparison is available. The Y500 also lists OTG reverse charging.

Which phone has the better display?
The V70 FE has the larger and higher-resolution panel on the published specifications: 6.83 inches at 2800 × 1260, compared with the Y500’s 6.77 inches at 2392 × 1080. Both list AMOLED displays with refresh rates up to 120Hz. The V70 FE’s extra resolution may suit readers who prioritize sharper detail, while the Y500’s listed screen is slightly smaller; these specifications do not measure brightness, color accuracy, or viewing quality.
How do their cameras compare?
The V70 FE’s India listing describes a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP 120° wide-angle camera, and a 50MP autofocus selfie camera. The Y500 lists a 50MP main camera with electronic video stabilization (EIS), a 2MP blur camera, and an 8MP front camera.

On listed hardware, the V70 FE offers more camera features and higher-resolution sensors, including OIS on the main camera. Megapixel counts and stabilization labels do not by themselves prove better photographs or video; image quality depends on processing and real-world performance. The V70 FE camera details cited here are from India’s listing, so check the specifications for the version sold in your country.

Performance, software, and regional compatibility
The phones use differently named 4nm MediaTek processors, and both listings give the same core configuration of four cores up to 2.5GHz and four up to 2.0GHz. That is not enough to declare a speed winner: no comparative benchmark or performance test is established by these specifications.

Memory configurations and memory type differ across the listings. vivo’s global V70 FE page specifies 8GB+256GB with LPDDR5X memory, while its India shop lists 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB. The China Y500 page lists four configurations and LPDDR4X memory. Check the exact configuration and storage tier offered locally rather than assuming every region sells the same version.
The global V70 FE page lists Android 16 and OriginOS 6. The reviewed Y500 page does not establish a comparable software-update commitment, so the available information does not support an update-longevity winner. vivo also cautions that V70 FE specifications and availability vary by region.

The Y500 specifications are for China model V2506A, with China-market network bands. Before importing it, confirm that its bands work with your carrier and that you understand the warranty and local-software implications. For either phone, check network compatibility, warranty region, seller, storage configuration, and stock before purchase.

There is no reliable direct price difference in the official figures available: vivo’s Y500 prices are suggested China launch prices in yuan, while the V70 FE figure is an India shop listing in rupees. They are different markets and currencies, not a like-for-like current comparison.

Y500 prices are from vivo China; the V70 FE listing is from the vivo India Store. Stock and prices can change. For a useful comparison, check current prices in the same country for the same storage tier, including any differences in warranty and seller.
Does the V70 FE’s water resistance make it waterproof?
No. vivo India lists IP68/IP69 resistance, but describes this as laboratory-rated protection, not permission to deliberately expose the phone to water. vivo says resistance to water, water jets, and dust is not permanent and may decrease with daily use; it also says the V70 FE is not a professional waterproof phone and liquid-ingress damage is not covered by warranty. Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Y500 if its larger stated battery capacity is your priority and you can verify local network compatibility, warranty, and availability for the China-market model.
- Choose the V70 FE if you prioritize the larger, sharper display and the camera hardware listed for the version sold in your market.
- Compare locally before deciding if price is the deciding factor. Match storage tiers and account for current stock, warranty region, and seller; the official figures above cannot establish which phone is cheaper in your market.
Neither phone can be named the overall performance or real-world battery-life winner from specifications alone.
