The vivo T5 Pro 5G leads on the headline numbers: a 9020 mAh battery, 90 W rated charging and a display listed at up to 144 Hz. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G counters with a 200 MP stabilized main camera and, in the one Amazon India comparison snapshot we reviewed, a lower price. Specifications alone do not name an overall winner. The better buy depends on the live price on the day you shop and on whether battery life and charging speed or camera resolution matter more to you.

Every figure here is a manufacturer claim. Brightness values in particular are rated under conditions the two companies do not necessarily share, so treat them as marketing figures rather than a like-for-like measurement.

The vivo T5 Pro’s display is rated for up to 144 Hz, against 120 Hz on the Redmi. A higher ceiling only matters when the software and content actually run at that rate, and both listings describe a maximum rather than a fixed rate. The brightness numbers cannot be compared directly. vivo lists a 5000 nits local peak and a 2000 nits high-brightness mode figure, while Xiaomi advertises a 3200 nits peak. Peak values measured on a small highlight area are not the same as sustained outdoor brightness, so the gap on paper overstates what you would see in sunlight.

Cameras: resolution is not the same as image quality
The Redmi Note 15 Pro’s headline is its 200 MP main camera with optical image stabilization, paired with an 8 MP ultra-wide. Xiaomi also explicitly lists 4K video recording. Pixel count on a high-resolution sensor usually reflects the maximum capture size; most phones of this kind output combined-pixel images by default, so the 200 MP figure tells you about the sensor’s ceiling rather than the typical photo.
The vivo T5 Pro uses a 50 MP Sony IMX882 main sensor, a 2 MP bokeh camera and a 32 MP front camera. The vivo parameter material reviewed here does not list an ultra-wide lens (not stated), and it does not establish video features that would let you compare the two directly on video. Neither listing proves better photo or selfie quality on its own. Judge the cameras from sample shots taken in the lighting you actually use.

Battery and charging: vivo leads on rated capacity and speed
vivo rates the T5 Pro at 9020 mAh with 90 W charging. Xiaomi rates the Redmi Note 15 Pro at 6580 mAh with 45 W charging. On paper, the vivo has a larger battery and charges at twice the rated power. Those are rated values. Neither source reports a measured endurance result or a time to charge from a specific level, so a claim that one phone lasts longer or fills faster in daily use would go beyond what the listings support.

Performance: chipsets and the benchmark snapshot
The Redmi uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Ultra and the vivo uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. The manufacturer listings name the platforms but do not establish which one is faster, and nothing in the material reviewed settles that question.

The 91mobiles comparison also reports benchmark scores. These are source-reported figures, with the vivo listed first in each pair, and the source excerpt does not state the test builds, number of runs, settings or controls.

Software and update commitments
The Redmi ships with HyperOS 3 on Android 15, and the vivo ships with OriginOS 6.0 on Android 16. The Android base is one of the few version-level differences that the manufacturer pages state directly. The two skins also differ in interface design and bundled apps, which the listings do not compare in detail.

Price difference: what the listings show
The price gap depends on which listing you use. The table below separates the three figures in the source material, because they come from different sellers and are not directly comparable.

On the Amazon snapshots alone, the vivo was ₹5,498 more expensive when the 91mobiles comparison was captured. That gap is only meaningful if both phones were the same storage configuration, sold by the same seller, at the same moment, and the source does not establish those conditions. The vivo’s official shop price is a different context and should not be subtracted from the Redmi’s Amazon figure. Before you buy, check the live Amazon India and vivo and Xiaomi listings, and confirm the RAM and storage configuration on each.
Which phone to consider, by priority
- Battery and charging speed matter most: the vivo T5 Pro’s rated 9020 mAh battery and 90 W charging are its clearest specification advantage.
- Smoothness at higher refresh rates matters: the vivo’s listed 144 Hz maximum exceeds the Redmi’s 120 Hz.
- Main-camera resolution and stabilization matter: the Redmi’s 200 MP main camera with OIS is the bigger hardware headline, and it also lists 4K recording.
- Lowest price is the deciding factor: check the live Redmi and vivo listings. In the Amazon snapshot the Redmi was cheaper, but a current price can reverse that.
- Front camera resolution matters: the vivo’s 32 MP front camera is higher than the 20 MP figure Xiaomi’s product material mentions.
Limits of this comparison
- No hands-on testing was carried out. Battery endurance, charge time, photo and video quality, thermal behaviour and everyday speed are not verified for either phone.
