Yes. Samsung Galaxy Buds can connect to an iPhone over Bluetooth for music and calls, even when the model does not support Samsung’s iOS app. App support is limited: Samsung lists Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Buds+ as compatible with the iOS Buds app, while many other models work with an iPhone through Bluetooth only.
Which Galaxy Buds work with an iPhone?
Samsung’s US compatibility page says the models it lists can connect to iPhone through Bluetooth, but only Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Buds+ are compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Buds iOS app. The page’s model list is specific to that support page; check Samsung support for your region and exact model if it is not listed here.

The model distinctions above follow Samsung’s US iOS compatibility guidance and its Galaxy Buds connection and use guide. Samsung’s Gulf support page also confirms Bluetooth connection for Buds3 and Buds3 Pro, while noting Galaxy Wearable is unavailable on iOS; regional pages may list models differently.
What works—and what does not—on iPhone?
Bluetooth pairing provides the basic earbud functions: listening to audio and answering calls. It does not make the full Samsung app or Samsung-device feature set available. Samsung says iOS notifications are unavailable, and its connection guide lists Gaming mode and Spotify integration as unsupported on iOS. Some controls and settings depend on the model, app support, or device, so do not assume every customization option is available from an iPhone.

For models without iOS Buds app support, connect directly from the iPhone’s Bluetooth settings. Samsung specifically identifies Galaxy Buds, Buds2, Buds2 Pro, and Buds Pro as models that are not compatible with the iOS Buds app and connect through Bluetooth instead. The Buds FE specification sheet likewise labels iOS compatibility “Bluetooth Only.”
Pair Galaxy Buds with an iPhone
If the buds are not already paired to another device
- Put both earbuds in the charging case and close the lid for five to six seconds.
- Open the lid. Samsung says the buds should enter Bluetooth pairing mode automatically.
- On the iPhone, open Settings > Bluetooth, turn Bluetooth on if needed, and tap the Galaxy Buds when they appear in the device list.
If the buds are connected or paired to another device
Opening the case may not be enough. Samsung gives different pairing-mode steps by model:

- Galaxy Buds2 and Buds2 Pro: Keep the earbuds in the case and hold both touchpads until the case lights flash.
- Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro: With the earbuds in the case, close and reopen it, then hold the case’s Connect button for three seconds.
Follow the instructions for the exact model, using Samsung’s model-specific connection guide. Samsung’s regional instructions can differ: its Gulf page gives a separate procedure for Buds3 and Buds3 Pro, so do not combine instructions from different regional pages.

On Samsung’s US support page, Bluetooth use is supported with iPhone 5 or later running iOS 9 or later. For the iOS Buds app with Galaxy Buds Live or Galaxy Buds+, Samsung specifies iPhone 7 or later running iOS 10 or later. These are Samsung’s stated requirements on that page; verify the current local support page for your model and region.

What to check before choosing a model
If you already own Galaxy Buds, try Bluetooth pairing first; app compatibility is not required for basic audio and calls. If you are choosing a model specifically for iPhone use, check these points against its Samsung support page:
