Akro-Mils sells stackable AkroDrawers and a separate mobile bin cart, but its 30812 cart is documented for hanging AkroBins, InSight bins, or small steel cabinets—not as a dedicated cart for AkroDrawers. Choose by the exact drawer or bin model and its mounting requirements rather than assuming the brand name guarantees compatibility.

What AkroDrawers offer
Akro-Mils documents eight AkroDrawer models: 31142, 31148, 31162, 31168, 31182, 31188, 31112, and 31118. They come in multiple widths and lengths, and listed weight capacities vary by model from 15 to 25 lb. Dividers are available as compatible accessories, while color choices vary by standard and non-standard selections. Check the current manufacturer catalog for the specifications and options of the particular model you are considering. AkroDrawer product information; Akro-Mils catalog.
What the 30812 mobile bin cart is designed to carry
The 30812 is a heavy-duty steel Mobile Bin Cart intended for hanging AkroBins or InSight bins, or for use with small steel cabinets; those storage products are sold separately. It includes a top shelf that can serve as a work surface. Akro-Mils lists dimensions of 38.5 in long × 24 in wide × 36.5 in high and a load capacity of 250 lb. These are the manufacturer’s published specifications, not an independent load test. The product page does not describe the cart as a dedicated AkroDrawer carrier, so confirm fit and attachment for any proposed setup. Akro-Mils 30812 specifications.
When bins may work better than drawers
AkroBins provide a related option when quick access to open containers suits the workflow better than enclosed drawers. Standard AkroBins can stack or hang from compatible louvered racks, panels, rail racks, and louvered carts. Akro-Mils describes Super-Size AkroBins as stackable and suitable for shelving, steel carts, and dollies; mobile choices are available for some products. Verify the specific bin and support combination before purchasing. AkroBins; Super-Size AkroBins.

How to choose a compatible storage setup
- Measure the available space. Compare each drawer’s outside dimensions with the rack or cabinet opening and footprint. For a mobile setup, check the cart footprint and the clearance needed to move it.
- Check the usable interior. Compare the drawer’s interior dimensions with the parts, tools, or supplies you plan to store; outside dimensions alone do not tell you what will fit inside.
- Match capacity to contents. Use the weight capacity listed for the exact AkroDrawer model, not the range for the family as a whole. For the 30812, compare its published 250 lb cart capacity with the intended total load.
- Decide how to separate items. Check whether dividers are compatible with the chosen drawer and whether their layout suits your parts.
- Verify the exact interface. Confirm that the particular drawer, bin, cabinet, rack, or cart is made to stack, hang, or mount with its counterpart. A general-purpose cart description or shared brand name is not proof of compatibility.
Other Akro-Mils carts are not automatic drawer-cart matches
Akro-Mils product literature also lists two- and three-shelf utility carts for order-picking, plus stock trucks and platform trucks for moving merchandise. Their presence in the product range does not establish that they are designed to hold AkroDrawers. Check the specifications for the exact cart and storage product before treating them as a matched system. Akro-Mils utility carts; stock trucks.
