To change Siri’s voice, open Settings > Siri > Voice and choose an available voice or variation. To change the language Siri understands, use Language; to control spoken answers, use Responses. On some iPhones, these options are under Apple Intelligence & Siri instead of a separate Siri menu.
Change Siri’s voice on iPhone
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Siri. If there is no Siri row, tap Apple Intelligence & Siri.
- Tap Voice.
- Choose one of the available voice options or variations. The choices shown may differ by Siri version, region, and device settings. See Apple’s voice-change instructions.
This changes Siri’s spoken voice. It does not change VoiceOver or every other spoken voice on the iPhone.

Change Siri’s accent or language
To use a different accent or voice variation, look under Voice and select from the options available for your chosen language. To change the language Siri understands, return to Siri settings, tap Language, and choose a listed language. Language is a separate setting from the voice selection.
Apple notes that Siri’s selected language is also used for Maps, turn-by-turn directions, and Safari’s Listen to Page feature. Supported languages and features can vary by region and device settings. See Apple’s guide to Siri settings.

Make Siri speak answers aloud or respond silently
Open Siri settings and tap Responses. Choose from the spoken or silent response options displayed on your iPhone. The available choices and their labels can vary with the Siri version, so follow the options on your screen rather than expecting identical wording on every device.
Find Siri settings on your iPhone
Depending on the software version, Siri preferences may appear under Settings > Siri or Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri. Open whichever entry is present, then look for Voice, Language, or Responses. Apple describes the settings and version-dependent options in its iPhone user guide.

Adjust Siri’s speaking rate, wait time, or text interaction
For accessibility controls, go to Settings > Accessibility > Siri. Apple documents a speaking-rate slider and Siri Pause Time options on that screen.
